I've been looking into getting one of these for a while, since nitro is hard to come by in my town... So my question is do I honestly need a female stabilizer or can I just get a male.
i know the Female gives you double HPR regulation, and the Male replaces the HPR, and that a lot of sites recommend using female, I've also seen alot that say you can use the male just fine as well...

if you want to be safe and get the best consistancy out of your marker, get both.

Wouldn't that be overregualtion? Having regualted co2 into a HPR where it wouldn't lower it much at all, then into a lpr. I would think you would get shootdown like a mofo. But I might be wrong.

it's no different than regulated HPA into a Hpr and then into a lpr. go for it.

unless of course I don't have a shotgun sight anywhere, cause I don't wanna have to buy the mounting rings....
Basically my original question, which no one seems to clearly answered, is SHOULD I GET A MALE OF FEMALE STAB

oh, sorry. male for HPA female for Co2.
so go with the female, and then maybe sometime down the road get a new male HPR of your choice and you will have one sweet Co2 setup.

alrighty then thanks, I think somewhere down the road I'll just sell the female, get a male and get HPA, It just isn't convienent where I live ever since our main field closed (land was eroding)

I used both female and male stabilizers with co2 on my bko for a while and the shot to shot consistancy was excellent. I tried just using the male but the consistancy dropped a lot. You are supposed to set the female at a higher psi than the male. I had my female at 500 and my male at 250 and it worked great.
