I have a starfire bolt myself and was using a flatline a while back with it. Everything worked great with a noticable difference in accuracy on the flatline between the stock and starfire bolt. I'd say go for it.

No bolt for the 98 will increase your accuracy. If anything they will be problematic. Stock bolt is best.

if you are using the flatline (or any barrel for how much these bolts suck) make sure to stay away from bolts that put extra spin on the ball such as the undertow bolt.

Because alot of comanies make crap just to make money. Notice none of the aftermarket bolts are made by Tippmann?

Remember when everyone and their dog used to go and and buy Venturi bolts for their Spyders and Spyder clones? Now those same people either got new bolts or drilled out the venturis b/c they found it was better to ahve just the open face.

An aftermarket bolt is supposed to effect gas flow to the ball the Tippmann's design negates this effect b/c of the power tube and front bolt configuration. Thussly aftermarket bolts are ineffective on Tippmanns. Get it?

dont get a star fire bolt unless your stock wears out or something. Even then I would prolly still get a stock one from Tippmann. It doesnt effect accuracy. Take my advice....listen to Natural Newbie and Coenen. (thats my advice):D

You should be capable of answering your own question then, if you use it and it sucks then go back stock. I don't think that it should have a negative effect on anything, really it shouldn't have an effect on anything at all.

Does the Flatline work fine with this bolt? If so, let me use a cliche adage if ever there was one.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

If you think something is amiss put the stock bolt in for a days play and see if you notice a real difference.
