there is a 14 year old at my field who has an angel and he saved up and got it with his money and he is good so no one bashes him. if you have the skill to back it up then no one should bash you and if they do just beet them in a game.

Just be cool about having the marker. Don't brag about it, just play paintball like every body else. Plus, it isn't like an impy is a $2000 setup or anything.
one thing that i would bash you for if ur parents bought u this setup
my parents told me that they could buy me almost any gun i want but i just want to buy it myself

Yeah, I had to pay for ALL of my paintball equipment myself, but I found out that as much as I suck in other sports, I have GAME in paintball. Just joined a team in fact, and I've only been playing since like, January. I'm shooting a Spyder Shutter (just had sand run through it, read my Don't make my Mistake thread) with HPA and a JJ barrel and a 9v revvy. I scrimped and saved and I held off a guy with a tricked Imp and a Dark Angel for about half an hour on the speedball field. On ran out of air and the other was running out of piant. Finally the one low on air slipped past me when I wasn't looking (doh, I feel stupid, oh well, I learned) and shot me in the back with a five round burst. Well, just don't brag about it or anything and admire the other guns, be they nice Spyders or Element Angels. People really like it when you compliment their guns.

Hell, your parents would have bought all your **** for you?? i would have jumped at the chance, lucky for me my parents dont buy me anything like that, and i HAVE to work for it... its actually a good thing, and it really makes me sick all my firends who never even work or anything and get "decent" setups
as for getting like an impy or bushy.... why? im just curious why people always are uprading to electro (well, not always) i just want to know what the huge difference is, iver never shot an electro so i dont know first hand

Well, electros tend to run at low pressure. This makes the marker a lot more quiet and a lot more accurate. A small disadvantage is that it makes the marker use more gas. Electros also tend to have a very short light trigger which most people like. And, if you haven't guessed it, have a much higher rof than other markers. Shoot one, and you'll like it. :)

Speedball games can drag out if you're good enough. I didn't get many shots off cuz I was being pinned by those two most of the time, but I did get enough off to keep them behind bunkers for most of the game. They must have gone through 500 balls or so between the two of them. Which proves that rate of fire is not crucial to winning. I guess it was a combination of me not making any mistakes till I let that guy past me and them being too scared to move on me cuz they couldn't see me. They didn't know exactly where I was at (night game on the arena). My gun also shoots real quiet with the JJ barrel. I stayed as silent as I could because I knew they had the firepower. And so it dragged on....and on.....

Holy monkeys, 500? thats it? dude, there must have been some sever lack of skill on both sides if that happened. I would also blame the judges, letting a game go one for that long. Gees. I dunno, speedball games at my field are 10 minutes at most.

It was a rec game so it wasn't timed. And believe me, they were tough. I'm just a hard target. Especially after seeing the Paintball chicks thread.
