My barrel on my 98C points to the right a little. I know tippmann changed the threads on the 98c because of this problem.
What I want to know is has anyone figured out a way to fix this. I assume milling or sanding somthing in the frame may fix it. Has anyone tried to fix this problem, and were you successful? Thanks dudes

I heard of someone who has done it. I think they milled off a thread on their barrel to make it fit, not sure though.

If you're thinking of me, I just sanded the threads down with a Dremel some to make my old Bigshot fit in my new shells. :|

mine's got the same problem...
What if you got new halves off countpaintball.com?
It says they have the new threads on them..
they're like $54...I might do that....hmmmm..

But then you have to get the new barrels.
Or sand down the threads like Raptor.
Guys you'll get used to it, mine points somewhat left. After a couple thousand rounds you'll start to compensate all on your own.

this is because the bolts are tightened too much causing the barrel to point weird directions--try it again without tightening the bolts as much. They should be "flush with the reciever"

no its because the new tippmann's have an extra thread for better alignment.

no--your geo broke down because George's ferrari has a chrome bumper.
the fact that there is an extra thread on the new barrels has nothing to do with it--you may say that there is one less thread on this barrel--but please just try it without tightening it down so hard.

Break your halves a little and ask Tippmann to replace them. :P

That's what I've heard most people do.

I like the way it's angled to be honest. If I didn't have it I'd shoot to the left of my target every first shot I made. After years using my tippy it's really hard for me to snap shoot with any other gun.
