Refs gettin hit

where i play the refs get hit a lot during speedball. anyone else see this happening? maybe i just play at a low end place though

The refs at my field like to give away people's positions. They must not be too bright.

I get shot to **** some games - other nothing. Just luck really and not getting in peoples way and keeping just to the side.

One time my team and I were in a huge firefight with the other team when a ref with a video camera walks right in front of us. He gets shot by like 20 guys. Afterwards he was yelling at US because we almost hit his camera. What a dumb-***.

The refs were I play at get shot alot. They really get pissed because they are the only ones on the field wearing orange safety vests and yellow masks. Ya think people would be able to tell.

i dont get shot alot when i ref. you just got to stay out of the way and not give positions away

When i see a guy crawling/sneaking i dont pay him any attension untill (a) he comes into a lot of paintbal fire and *might* have got hit, well hes been seen now so it doesnt matter or (b) im asked to make a paint check in "that bush".

j/k, the first time i played pb waz speedball and i shot the ref in the head twice, not th esame game though

Ive never shot the ref, but ive seen it happen plenty of times.

Personally where i play the ref never gets shot...... personally i think you guys just don't have self control

Only complete ****s shoot a marshal/ref intentionally - you'll get the occasional person see you walking out of a bush only see your feet and open fire. You can't blame them for that just tell them that your a marshal.

Refs get hit a lot at my field, mainly because some of them are ****ing idiots. They tend to walk into fields of fire, totally oblivious to everyone throwing paint through the shooting lanes. The refs can also be *******s. One time, this kid tried to bunker me, but i heard him coming, so i slid back a few feet and brought my gun up, he tries to go over the top (*******), and looks straight down shotting paint, expecting me to be there (told you he was an *******). I put some Blaze right in between his eyes, and the ref yells at me, and throws me out.

Actually, I just got a job as a ref at my local field. I start next Saturday. Any advice?

When in a game - dont argue with players your decision is final.

Be large and in charge.

If your unsure about anything ask another more experienced marshal. Im sure they'd help you.

Always be on the look out for people lifting masks - most important one there.

One game of speedball I was onloading on the defensive trying to get guys to stay behind their bunker. In the middle of the fire fight a ref checks a guy for paint. I unload some more, and one ball rolls of the bunker and hits the ref in the johnson. He was out. You have to wear a cup paintballing!
