I think brass eagle is best when it comes to buying cheap, high-quality guns. That doesn't really include the blade, though! Brass Eagle, i think, was made just for people starting the sport, because almost all of it's guns are for beginners.

i've used some BE guns Ray, blade, Samurai and i think they're a waste of money especially the samurai i encourage people to rent a gun then to buy a lousy BE gun to get into PB
IMO the only thing BE guns are good for is to shoot in your backyard at stray cats or dogs or just do target practice or just to mess around with but i seriously wouldn’t play with one on a real field.
when i first got into the game i bought some BE stuff paint and a barrel plug because i didn’t know any better lol
but now i tell people not to buy BE stuff because its of such poor quality.
That is unless they don’t have access to anything of better quality
Most reviews on this site bash BE, I reviewed some BE stuff and gave it a fair rating.
Allot of them say stuff like
Good – nothing
Bad – everything
Conclusion – don’t buy it
Rating 1/10
Which is not true most of the times

I think a BE gun, as with ne other gun can be as good or as bad as u want it to be. My shark for example after a good deal of upgrading can play up with ne other high quality pump marker on the market. The same can be said for ne other BE gun...

alright alright
Perhaps BE guns are a good "one time investment" but beside home made upgrades there isnt a whole lot available for them
or at least i havent seen any.

People always say that Brass Eagle has great prices for people who dont want to spend much. I DISAGREE Completly. first of all who would shed $120 for an Avenger instead of getting a Spyder Compact? Second of all. No one would ever play with their "low end markers" such as a Talon, blade, or Stingray at a real field. So id say if your a begginer and dont wanna spend much go to the fields and rent til u got enough cash saved up to get a compact. They are 85$. So my opinion is that Brass Eagle is only good when it comes to Viewloaders and JT Masks (which they bought) other than buying a Talon for 15$ just to shoot at some dogs they arent real markers.

BE has brought alot of business and new people to the sport. i think they are reall trying to improve the quality of there products, and the new revvys prove it, people complained about the slow reaction time and weak shells and they fixed it. they are trying

The compact is $20 more and it doesn't come with a bottem line.
The Avenger at Wally World is $100 with a bottem line AND takes spyder threads. For a beginner thats a pretty good deal.

Actually the only compact with a bottemline is the 2 in 1 and the lowest I've ever seen them is $90 and thats online then add some shipping so its roughly $100.
My brother owns the Compact 2 in 1 and my friend the avenger. The only thing I notice different is the accuracy. But my brother had a J&J Ceramic on and when he got the gun it the bottem line was leaking so he had to fix that, while my friend's Avenger came perfect. Maybe it was shipping but I'd still buy an Avenger over a Spyder anyday. Reason being is your not going to play in any hardcore tournaments with a spyder or a BE.

If it wasn't for BE I wouldn't have a paintball club. Lots of the members of my club didn't have paintball guns of their own and so my club had to purchase equipment for them. We were pressed for funds, but thanks to the inexpensiveness of a handful of blades on ebay and a vulcan, we were able to get people to play the game. I know that the quality of the products aren't that great, but there are some situations like mine where quality isn't the most important factor.
Although, I look down on the fact that most paintball related crimes are done with a BE marker, but thats to be expected seeing as the thugs who commit the crimes aren't really worried about gun quality either. :(

BE guns are just easier to find, that's why more people own them. If they sold spyders or GTs at wally world there would probably be more people with them than BE's. And they're cheaper so you can afford to lose them if you commit a paintball crime :)

I think if paintball is well supported in your area and you have some good shops and nice fields you are much better off going with something other than BE. If you live in the boon docks and you only play outlaw ball with some friends then BE is a decent choice. I still think it is better to save up and get a tippman or kingman but BE is the only choice some people have. The only bad thing about playing with a group that only has BE products is that as soon as someone that is a decent player gets a tippman or other more expensive set up it is all over for everyone else. Trust me on that. :P

Well, i wouldn't say that it was all over. I've beaten tippmann's w/ my stingray.

I am not saying it can't be done but with two evenly matched players give me someone with the tippman over the player with the BE gun any day.

yeah considering my friends suck my team usually owns them. It's just me and zach, who has a tippmann, vs. wes and greg, both tippmann owners. zach and i are the best p-ball players in our county, and it's kinda easy to beat 'em. wish i had more of a challenge.

Well... a properly tuned/maintined Raptor Xtreme/Silver Eagle/LTD 2000 could keep up with a Tippman or Spyder. However I would suggest going with the spyder or tippman JUST because there are more upgrades available for them. Other than that I would go w/ a Raptor because a properly maintained one will last just as long as ANY other gun.

Nearly everyone in my county(except me:P ) never cleans his gun. So, as a result, their guns are constantly messing up, mostly tippmanns and raptors. I can understand why someone wouldn't clean their tippmann, but the raptor??? I clean my stingray after every game(when i get home) and it never messes up. Just keep the inside of your gun clean, oiled, and WD-40'd, and it'll last a long time.

dont use wd40 only oil. wd40 is a water displacer(thats what the wd stands for)and it destroys your o-rings. use sewing machine oil instead it works alot better. the only thing id use wd40 on is the body of my gun to make it look shiny:D
