well yeah, practice with your gun a few times more, but then if your gonna get serious about paintballing, you should save up for a better gun. If your just gonna play for fun and a lot, just get like a spyder w/ an electric trigger.

and before you buy that next gun make sure you know the ins and outs of the first one.

keep it until it costs more to fix it than to buy a new one.

But if you dont want to do that, id wait at least 6 months before getting a higher end gun. That way you will have time to research, know the ins and outs of paintball, and test your commitment to the sport.

upgrade it. get a new barrel, reg, trigger frame, bolt, hopper, drop forward, and all that good stuff. Thats what I'm doing to my Shutter.

I would get a new one just for the sake your sport will die soon. The bolt was Kingman's glitch in that gun. It's made of plastic. Not delrin, like high end guns use, but genuine 100% plastic. I've seen that bolt break in half and become lodged in one guy's barrel.
The reciever is also plastic. Assuming you follow BDaniel's advice, you'll have a gun with a bolt moving 12 times a second back and forth from an E-frame...inside a plastic bodied reciever.
The gun won't support the upgrades he's talking about.

I'd advise a new gun....shop around carefully. Good guns for your playing level that will carry you a long ways go for $100-$150. Ask some questions around here first if you decide you want to buy one, and don't go run off and buy the first Tippmann or Spyder you see that looks pretty.

Hey im in the same position too! I usually play once a month i started in mid june. So i played about 2-4 times. In Fall i had to do yard work and house work to gain money because i was having money problems. In winter its too cold to play and i still have money problems to play paintball.:(
