I wouldnt recommend doing it. If you just get a drill and drill way..chances are your gonna mess up the inside of the barrel and lead to chopping alot balls...

Unless you REALLY know what your doing then be my guest. But your at your own risk.

Ok i'm a machinist and here is the process i use.

1 drill ports. (remember thay the annodiing will make the outside of the barrel very hard so you need to push through quickly and use coolant)

2 ream if neccessary.

3 polish
(the easiest way to polish is this. get a wooden dowel rod and cut a slot inthe tip. insert emery cloth and wrap it so the cloth is on the outside and it fits the bore easilly but just snug. Then load the cloth with lapping compound put the dowel in a drill and work it the length of the barrel repeat till the finish you desire is achieved.)

you drill it on a bridgeport and polish it on a lathe. im going to a tech school to learn to be a machinest :D
