Lapco bigshot barrel question...

This might seem like a pretty stupid question, but this is my first barrel upgrade and it seems like the lapco bigshot is the way to go. Now, on some sites and I've noticed in some stores, that they have a display that says "Lapco Big Shot Barrel for Model 98".....When they say model 98, will the threads also work for a 98c?

I just wanted to make sure before I went out and spent the money and felt like an idiot for buying a barrel that won't fit a 98c.

but beware. There is different threading on the new 98c's. Someone's going to chime in with the first serial number with the change, but I don't have it memorized. If your gun has a higher serial number than that you need the new style threads.

all m98's and 98c's with serial #s under 500,000 have the old thread 500,000 and up have new thread, the new thread will fit the old thread but not visa versa

Ah I see...so what you're saying is that since my gun has the new thread in it, all the barrels (new and old) will fit it...or did I misinterpret what you were saying?

actually the old m98 threads will fit all barrels the new 98c thread will only fit teh new markers

you're making an error there. The old markers accept all barrels, the new markers only accept new barrels.

Work on your wording before mouthing off. The first part of that post was correct, but the second part was wrong. It is a very technical error.

He means the reciever threads not the barrel threads.
