I played twice with my TES, and I love it. All but one thing though, the velocity problems. I gassed the thing up and my tank was at 3000 psi and full. My reg read 300psi. I shoot and its at maybe 200 fps...VERY LOW. I turn up the the reg to 500!!!! the highest pressure to be safe. and the highest velocity I could acheive was 235fps. How do I fix this? I love everything about the TES except this. Help me please.Thanks.

What do you mean by this? Velocity determines "safe" for shooting. Turn your regulator up more to get velocity up....or buy a stiffer main spring.....or "try" putting a spacer of some kind behind the copper colored spring guide. I'm getting correct velocities with regulator set to about 425psi (Vigilante regulator).....was also the same with stock reg.

Don't bother with what the guy above me said until you check your paint to barrel match. With my J&J Ceramic and RPS I can't get my marker to do over 230 fps with the velocity cranked and the stiffest 32* main spring.
If it doesn't fit well then just use your stock T.E.S. barrel.

Paint to barrel match can affect velocity, but not THAT much. A stiffer mainspring is your answer.

Btw, What I meant for 500psi being "safe" was because the manual says not to go over 500psi on the reg, so I didnt. It must be the main spring, I'll try the shim, and then later buy a spring kit. And One last question, did anyone take the gun apart right when they bought it and dicover a powdery substance, which lookes like rust? I wiped it off the striker and spring guide and I think it might be something to do witht the anno, not sure. But thanks guys. Oh and my paint to barrel match is perfect, Point blank in my Ultralight is good match.

$6 spyder spring kit. I have had no velocity problems with my tes, in fact, since I replaced the crappy stock reg with a Palmer's, I usually shoot over 300fps, and that's with the stock spring

Where can you get a spyder spring kit for $6?

okay guys back up a bit. Did you turn the little allen key hole in the side of the regulator with the included allen wrench counterclock-wize to increase the velocity?

isnt there a knob or anythin on the back of the gun to up the volocity?

Are you sure about that.. I took my marker, Same as Spitlebugs.. Since he's my roomie. Chrono'd with the J&J with the paint we had.. tried a stiffer main spring and was shooting max 205 Fps.. Swapped barrels back to the stock, same setup otherwise.. was shooting 334 fps.. Now I would assume that if you change nothing but the barrel and you get that much of a difference then it would be due to paint/barrel match.

well the TES isn't exactly the same like spyders or the M3's. The TES's velocity is controlled by a small allen wrench key hole on the regulator. The allen wrench should be supplied with the gun in a small bag when you buy it. To increse velocity you turn the key hole counter-clockwise and clockwise to decrease. (it is very sensitive though at least on my TES.)

i had that essact same problem you go get a spring kit for spyders and get the hards one then you can turn down your reg to as low as you want
try it
thanx

I dont know why, but people talk to me like I am an idiot some times. Yes I know how to adjust the reg ok. So what I did is I switched the spring on the TES with one from an E-99 a friend has. He never plays so he won't notice. And a HUGE differene, I was shooting 290 fps and Hitting people accross the field. Now I know my Tes's potential and it is the best gun I've ever used.

before you get a new spring, replace all the o-rings, and make sure you have either a spring guide or a small cicular piece that goes in-between your velovity adjuster and the main spring, cause if you don't you'll definetly be shooting way too low. (same thing happened on my spider)

As I said before, I got a new spring and everything is fine now. And yes I do have the spring guide.
