I am going to buy a custom 98 with flatline barrel, collaspable stock, and a remote (seen at the Stealthline part of the tippman site, WARNING: Their prices are too expensive!) I was wondering, what is the diffrence between the model 98 and the custum 98? The tippman people can let you send in your model 98 and get it upgraded to custon 98, but it doesnt tell you what it is.

Thanks for reading

Ok, I did some research on this one, so I won't get into a discussion with pyro again. If you go to the diagram of the Standard Model 98, you will notice the whole sear area is not made for the RT kit to fit in. The 98 Custom was made to have the RT drop in. If you look at the drop in section under 98 custom, you can see how it fits in somewhat. The double trigger guard for the 98 custom is also different. In the Standard Model 98, is has to go all the way to down to the base of the handgrip, if I'm right on this one. In the Custom, they fitted it so you can have the double trigger guard further up. The last two kits I haven't seen in a gun yet. The High Pressure, from what it looks like (c4pyro, feel free to come in on this one, or anyone else) is a "special" vertical adapter with a low pressure chamber coming out of it. It has a: lighter rear bolt, new rear cocking assembly, lighter drive spring, new valve assembly. The electronic kit also drops into the 98 custom. Haven't seen that either. There are two kinds that I've heard of, I think. The E-Bolt, and one other, can't think of it. Hope all of this helps.

Hehehehehehehe. Good job no name you covered it all. Cosmetically they just got rid of the ribbs on the side of the marker as well and extended the writing on the side of the marker. Other then that NoName did his reearch well.

The electronic kit includes a window in the frame so you can get at the electronics quicly, 6 modes of fire, Lighter trigger pull, regulator, and a new valve. Turbo mode alows you to move between semi and response without anyone knowing (great for feilds that only allow true semi.
