Why is the Automag RT banned at...

Why is the Automag RT (or should I say Retro Valve) banned at several fields etc?

Im considering getting an Automag RT pro but havent actually seen one in action so im hesitant.

Why don't you ask the fields that have banned them? Their answer will probally be something like, "Insurance reasons," or "Cuz someone else said they were banned."

In general it's good to have at least shot a marker before you buy one. Most people will let you try their markers out.

Several Fields etc.? I challenge you to find a field that has banned them. If you do please post thier contact info here, along with the rules that say they are banned. I dont believe this silly rumor because I have yet to see ANY proof of it happening. If it did I think a few angry calls and an explanation of what the valve is and does would set an ignorant field owner straight.

Rules taken from the website Richy posted-

Masks must be worn at all times on the field and in the target area. Once you are past the staging area cone markers, you must keep your masks on. Do not remove your mask for any reason until you are back in the staging area. Failure to follow this rule may result in you being asked to leave.

· Barrel Plugs must be used at all times in the staging area and when leaving the fields.

· No Firing in the staging area. Firing is only to be done in the target area or on the field. Do not fire on the field until the whistle blows to start the game. Cease fire immediately when you hear the whistle again. Please do not shoot at wild animals, into the lake or at anytime not during the course of play on the field.

· Field Paint Only. Only our field paint is permitted on the field and in the target area.

· Do not pick paintballs up off the ground they will cause gun problems and jamming.

· All guns must be chronographed at 285 fps or less. Players are responsible for checking their guns often. Referees will check this regularly.

· No full-autos - semi-auto only.
Rental Guns. Do not disassemble. Keep feeder lid locked down tight. You should get 500-600 shots per tank.

· No Blind Firing. You must be looking at your target when you shoot.

· No bunkering or charging your opponents. Do not shoot anyone closer than 20 feet. You must stay at least one obstacle away from your opponents.

· You are eliminated when a paintball hits you or anything you are carrying and breaks. The ball must break to count, check to see if the ball broke before calling yourself out. Once you call yourself out you are out even if the ball did not break. Gun hits do count as an elimination.

· Once eliminated call yourself ?out? or ?hit?, place the barrel plug in your gun raise your gun up over your head and move off the field. The referees will assist you off the field. Move to the sides of the field and exit as quickly as possible ? the referee will tell you where to go.

· Obey all instructions given by the referees. If you have a problem while on the field yell or signal for a ref to assist you.

· Good Sportsmanship is expected of all players. No profanity, harassment or cheating will be tolerated.

So where does it say No RT? they are not full auto, and that was the only thing I saw that came close to applying?

Please show me a RULE, IN WRITING and I might believe you.

Please somebody explain this sudden "Anti-RT" hysteria! It's like some nasty urban legend.

I feel like Ripley in Aliens, with a small team of soldiers trying to fight the growing Bug army.

Ah, it should suffice. From a long ways away it looks like she could be very well be a Colonial Marine :) Anyways, I think this "rumor" got started when someone mistook the auto-repsonse frames for RT valves.
