auto talon

well i was just wondering if anyone knew how to mod a talon or any other cheap BE pump gun for that matter into a semi auto. I know this sounds stpid but I really want to do this. I hear that the chameleon kit can do this, but i havent found it. any info would be helpful (almost any).

Well.....the only way that I can think of now is to remove the pump handle and attach a strong solonoid to the thingy that the handle was mounted on. Then run the wiring through the gun (or over it, whateaver) and hide the batterys in the handle (might want to use 2 9v in paralel to make it last longer) Then basicly go to radio shack and get an LED (little light thingy) and a switch and attach them to the handle. Maybe, if you were to put some little extra stuff on it,you could have one of the only full-auto BE guns in history

or heres a good idea instead of making it an auto talon make it talon that you crank instead of pump you culd fire so fast........

What the point in making a semi-auto talon? The whole fun of one is that its pump

I'm not quite sure about this yet, but I think I can make a semi-auto talon from scratch for about $50. The design I'm thinking of is more of a blow forward design though, so I might call it a Talon-Mag if I ever do it.

hey i made my samurai full auto by putting a bobby pin in the back of the sear and it made it so you can always make the sear go down even when the gun hasnt cocked so you can hold the trigger down at all times so it was super fast but i needed a agitating hopper so i borrowed my friends which made him sad because all he had was the 45 off my samurai

sure, why not? Now,just go uot and start a paintball record book and your on your way... I want a challange, so I am going to attempt to (at some later date) get a $20 BE gun and mod it to 3 or 6 round burst without using any electrical stuff. (I like tinkering with pb stuff, I am obeseeed):D

why dont you use a single bolt like in a mokal titan and incorperate it into the talon since you cant make it stacked tube blowback.wouldnt that make it semi auto?????

I own the second full auto BE gun.

You can build or buy. Nothing is more satisfying than making your own stuff, boring out a tigershark's internals or making a full auto stingray.

I think I'll do that mod, when I can buy another Talon. That would be fun to go out to my outlaw field and whoop guys with cockers with a semi-auto talon. I will show them to never underestimate Brass Eagle!!!!!!!

i quit reading posts but i did the same thing useing a stripping nail in my sear. so i had a full auto stingray about 2 years ago though its useless because it chops shooting way over 30bps

yah, see thats why Iwant to use a solenoid (one of those that moves back when the electricity is off) and rig it to a repeating chip. Then attach a veriable resister and I will be able to controll the bps. Also, after the repeting chip there would be an adjstibe counting chip (you adjust it with puting electricity in diffrant places) that way I could have 2 - ? round burst, and semi auto. If I have money left I will make a homemade electronic trigger frame W/ hair trigger. Then, I will use a photoresistor and a lazer pointer (cheap $5 ones, using just the emitter the power sourse will be the same one used to power the gun) to make a kind of ghetto eye. I'll prob have to use another adjustible resistor and capasitor to get the eye delay right. So, when I do this I will have the worlds first (and prob last) talon W/ adjustible rof full auto, adjustible rof 2-? and adjustible round burst, semi auto, electronic trigger frame, and eye. I figured the cost to be around $50-$60. I am going to do this when I get the time and money. And to answer your question: I am going to do it because I want to and because I can besides, it will be funny to have it

A solenoid will not have enough power to cock it. It needs about 8 pounds of pressure to cock it. I'd use a servo to cock it. You could make something like a locomotive wheel and have the servo spin and sort of pump it back and forth. At 400 oz/in (25 lbs) of torque at 7.2v it'll have sufficient power to pull and push. Picture not to scale, just use it to see what I mean. It could be located anywhere if you use a flexible pushrod system.

now theres an ideia, but how would I controll it? I might be able to use a rail motor but that would require more power...What if I were to divert the air flow to a solenoid vaulve. to push the pump back. I am not famillar with be guns do they require force to push the pump back forward or is it kind of spring loaded. if it is not springed I can add one. or I can use the exaust from pushing it cack to move it forward resulting in a more of a freakish be/cocker mix *shudders at the thought* I have decided to go with a talon because they are $5 cheaper. Now, if anyone wants to donate a talon or other be gun to the cause...
