My little 5 year old brother is hard core into paintball. (no joke) He's been saving up his money, and has about $60-$70. He wants either a Spyder Victor, A Delta Pistol, or an Excellerator. I know about the victor (i used to have one) but which one will be good to just play around with and durable to last the torture that 5 year old's dish out.

your 5 year old brother is hard-core into paintball???
my brother can barely pull back the trigger on my mag...

It depends will he just be messing around with it or actually playing?

Seriously. My little brother is crazy hardcore into paintball. We'll just be massing around in the back yard. I have an extra mask, and tank already.

Tell him the victor is best for that price range. The are only 40 at here (paintballgateway.com)...so the extra money could go towards a nice barrel for him..Thats cool that he is 5 and wants to paintball.:)

Has he ever played?Little kids hate pain..but if he really wants to play,I doubt it would bother him..

the JT excellerators are great guns for the cheap cheap price (3.5's are only like 60 or something) but you cant beat the reliability of a kingman gun. If i was him I would get a victor, and as he gets older, maybe buy him a few upgrades.

Instead of buying him upgrades, sell them your spyders upgrades when you get you Texas Storm TimmY with WAS! :)

one thing to say. watch him when he shoots his gun. cause i know a 18 year old guy who was stupid and shot him self in the eye. and i would go with a spyder

They want to get into paintball, too. >_< It's cute, but they're careless. Violent as Hell, but careless and I don't want them to get hurt... I can't watch over them when they play, they live in Louisiana.

He hasn't officially, but he really wants to. I once told him I was going to shoot him, and he was totally cool with it! He'd wear a shir+sweater anyways. I'll put his fund in my sig also.

i would say a tippmann if he wants to save more.. they are impossible to break and paintballs hurt a lot more then u expect it and your not pumped with adreniline

Or you could give him a starter gun for 20 bucks.. thats how I started I used a plastic one it lasted for 10 months before I had to clean the barrel. It's not that bad of an idea you know!

Teach him to paintball before you give him anything that can kick butt.

^^^ why you double post?

get a talon. a 5yr old in my opinion though shouldnt be playin paintball. I would wait till he's 8-9. A talon would maybe be alright. it's a pump so it would teach him better skill at an early age.

heh, my friend (hes about 5 or 6) has been playing paintball for about a year now. He started out with a blade, and now hes at a spyder victor. If your bro has the money, i would definetly get an xtra or something.

Oh yeah, is his head big enough for the goggles? My baby cousin ran around last summer with my goggles on and it kept sliding down his face. It was friggin' cute, but it's a saftey hazard... Look at the picture, lol. He's five years old, too.

Thanks for the concern, but yes. His head is big enough for the strap to be secured tightly. Btw, Here's his set-up

Piranha g3 (really wanted it. Changed his mind.)
Pmi x-ray goggles
12 oz. Co2
Vl200
Yellow barrel plug

I've never seen a kid so happy as him. I made him a target for the backyard. He wears his maks all the time. It's really funny.

Take pictures of him playing. Everytime I see a small kid paintballing, I can't help, but go "Awwwwwwwww" each and every damn time, lol. Ask Madogg, he'll tell you.

If you bunker my brother, Im gonna bunker you twice a game :finger:

Madogg
01-26-2004, 12:01 PM
Well don't worry cindy ill come for you next :badboy:. but more on topic make sure your brother knows the rules because some people tend to get really pissed when rules are broken. like this weekend when i played i shot this one kid out when he came to bunker me and he just kept running at me shooting 4 more shots solved that problem.

Edit: bunker me twice a game? sounds like its worth it to me getting bunkered isnt really a big deal its happens whoohoo. your brother is going to get bunkered if he plays its inevitable

beaverbuddy
01-26-2004, 12:05 PM
Wait, he's not gonna go to the actual field, just the big field up the street. Most likely, if he plays, I'll turn my gun's velocity down as low as possible, and I'll surrender him 99% of the time.

SinfulCindy
01-26-2004, 12:07 PM
Andrew, you already bunkered me on my birthday and I shot you back near the nuts. Are you sure you want to try that, again?

And tell your brother not to take off his goggles to check if he got gogged during a game... Andrew was just telling me this weekend how some people at the outlaw we go to do that and I was all  about it.

To put photos on the internet, you could use the option to attach a file beneath the text box for "Your Reply" and "Options." If it's too big, you could host photos on www.hunt101.com, www.fotki.com, www.uploadit.org, www.stranglethecat.com, and a number of other free hosting sites.

i live for danger and next time i wont make the same mistake of waiting so damn long. im calling you out next week MAUAHHAH. you can show off the welts im going to give you. and thats a good idea to play just you and your brother and if you wanted you could bring a couple of friends and tell them how to play. and in the earlier post i forgot ur brother was 5 :P

Is that why you have a picture of a bunny as you av?

Madogg
01-26-2004, 12:24 PM
damn right dont under estimate the bunny its a common problem that people have at my field but they all have learned their lessons now

Any way i'm pretty sure that a five year old boy could play pb in this weather. Tell him to be extreamly carful. If you get in troube with the cops dead meat. Speaking of meat i'm hungry. brb

I can tell! J/K
Sorry

SinfulCindy
01-26-2004, 01:03 PM
Uh... Is your webcam portable? And there's suppose to be instructions on how to open your camera's memory disk on the computer. Did it come with some cables that are able to be plugged into the comp? Some cameras are different, so I'm not sure if they all operate in the same way for downloading pictures onto the computer.

How much was the piranha?A lot more?Because it will be close to identical to the victor..But if he likes it,It doesntr matter..

That is so cool that he paintballs and is 5 :D

01-26-2004, 03:22 PM
just make sure he dosent get a gun that outmaches yours! (this is sarcasm for all u nit pickers out there... you know who you are)

victor probably, spiders r good for beginers.

beaverbuddy
01-26-2004, 03:34 PM
The piranha was like $10 more, because I have a discount card for 10% off. He's not gonna play for a while, because I need to make sure he can handle the responsibility.
