regulator pressure

ok i was playin at a field with my tes the other day and when i checked the velocity on the chrono thing it read 160. how do i turn the velocity up. i turned the allen head screw in the reg counter clockwise as far as it would go and i got it up to about 230 but i think my pressure is up to high now becaue its at about 750 and when i shoot my gun the top of my hopper pops open each time. how can i get the velocity up to about 250 with gettin high pressure?

All about paint to barrel match, the stock barrel, while nice, is VERY BIG, balls don't fit tight enough, so a lot of air blows past the ball, instead of pushing it, Try some different paint, or a differnt barrel.
