i might be getting a b2k3 w/ PDS and i was wondering if a halo was a good hopper to use on it because i heard of the double feeding problem and i was jw

thanx

I'm pretty sure thats a problem for the BKO only, so you could use the Halo.

I triple fed once with my halo. It was the most insane crazy thing ever. Sure. Get a halo. They rock. Just make sure your detents are man enough.

bushy W/ PDS? get an eggy......cheaper, feeds just about as fast...but you won't chop anyway because of the eye, you wont double feed, it won't jam, it won't kill battery's, it won't weigh a ton, it holds more paint.......eh you get the idea...

now someone is going to compile something like that saying you should get a halo ..... in the end it's just preference I guess :|

Gomster, the detents on the BKO and the B2K3 are the same, how would they have different feeding issues?

A Halo is simply the fastest hopper available, as well as the only true force-fed design. An eggy2 will probably work great, but a Halo will DEFINITELY work great. I personally think a hopper is one of those things that you get the best possible, and keep it for a very long time, but that's just another opinion. If you do the macroline reinforcement mod for your detent then a Halo will work fine.

and bbbb... you were using Comp.. what did you expect?

Oh, drat. I thought they used different detents. My bad.

Nothing more, really. Fate handled it pretty well, until the second hopper full. Only chopped about 30 first hopper, than about 100 second hopper. It was pretty rock. Just the paint, though.

Ok, you can use the Halo B if you strengthen your detents (just ask someone for instructions on how to do this) or else your going to have problems with double feeding.

Also, why not get an eVLution II with Z Board? They are pretty good hoppers.

egg2 still gets my vote.......

My personal preference is the halo. smaller profile ,looks alot better just make sure you got strong ball detents.

Most places that have Eggy2s with Z-boards end up costing just about as much as a halo does...

I'd go with a Halo personally, but if you're strapped for cash an Eggy will do in a pinch.

well the looks is all opinion, and i too think the halo looks better. but the profile is about the same, just the egg is a little rounder. the halo is taller (if you don't count the feed neck, which can be cut on the eggy, mine is)

the reason I say egg is because it works ALMOST as well for a lot cheaper, plus people with eggs have almost no double feeding problems. Or hopper smashing brittle paint problems.

I don't like Eggys as much because they don't exert a constant pressure so they have a hard time feeding at a tilt. The Halo on the other hand feeds great even at a 45 degree angle. You pay a little more for slightly more speed and better reliability (stronger plastics and whatnot). Kinda like buying a foreign car rather than domestic I suppose.

ya and they do weight the same. the difference is like a few oz. the halos dont eat batts. mine have lastes for about 16 cases now. and still going strong. my halo never doubles feeds (knock on wood) and i got the o-ring dentets not modified. and they are a yellowish brown. so they are old. but not double feeding issues for me
