Alright, I let my mom shoot me today because she was curious about my equipment, so of course they obvious thing to do is not shoot targets but her son, and now she asked me if she could play w/ me some time.
Now here is how I see it:
Pro: Free paint, field, air costs.:)
Con: It's my mom, playing paintball, with me.:(
So what do you think?

THink of it this way. When you start talking about paintball she won't give you that look like "what the smurf are you talking about?"

It all depends on the coolness level of your mom. My dad plays every now and then, and its pretty cool, but my dads pretty cool though too. It all depends on the coolness level of your mom. But seriously, think about it: FREE PAINT.

she wants to play paintball. how much cooler do you expect your mom to get?
and, honestly, if i saw your mom pb'ing at the field right beside you, i wouldn't give it a second thought.

well if your young and callow and your mom sees some one get injured or play with out safety regulations or your mom gets hurt playing she might want u out of the sport so i say dunt risk it but hey man its all u

i'd imagine giving birth hurts a lot more than getting hit with a paintball. your mom can take it. and play at legit fields - she'll be more comfortable with all the rules & regulations.

Actually I'm 16 Mr. Sarcasm, also I figure if I do let her play she will not play most of the rounds 'cause she is old and will get tired, so I'll get most of the paint!, and hey about the hurting part, she was the one laughing and shooting me while I was trying to see if the ball broke on my arm behind a tree.
Maybe you should have her start by playing with just you and your friends, see how she is. I would never let my mom play with me, then again, theres no way she ever would.

First off, sIc your avatar rocks.
this jus reminds me of the time when my friends mom came paintballing with us. We were playing woods and it ended up her being the last one left because she got scared and sat curled up with her gun at her side at the very first bunker she could find.

I don't think my mom would puss out b4 she gave it a chance, she actual volunteered to let me shoot her today, but somehow I didn't feel right shooting my mom in a non-game situation.

Let her play. There was a mom who went with her son last time i was at the field. She did rather well actually. Carefully lined up her shots, stayed hidden, didn't make a lot of noise when she moved around..
okay okay..fine. I'll admit it. She gogged me one round.

As long as she doesnt lick her finger and try to rub paint off your face, id do it. I mean come on. Free paint.

At least give it a chance. Invite her to come with you some time. It sounds like you have one of those cool moms that would be actually allright to have around at the field. Plus she will buy you paint and understand the sport, and that might be infinitely helpful in the long run. Just don't let her get better than you. That happened to my friend with his dad, and now we only invite him if his dad is coming too.

Let her come, if she likes it all the better for you, someone that doesnt give you the look when you start rambling, and can buy you paint and air and such.

If I was your mom and you didn't let me paintball, I'd smack you upside the head and ground you for a month... :D
What's the worse that could happen? You get free paint, air, and admission and it's just your mom playing by your side in paintball. On the field, she's just another player (unless if she follows you around everywhere because she wants to protect you, then that's annoying.) I'd love it if my mom would paintball, but she's too scared... The dad's a total arsehole, so bleh there. I think it's a good idea for your mom to try out paintball with you. Gives you more time to bond and she'll see why you like the sport so much. Go for it.
My friend at school plays for Avalanche 2, the amateur team... Yeah... :|

My friend let his mom shoot us so she decided to have no soul and shoot me in the balls. Now she always makes fun of me. :|

haha i agree New york  over payed and they don't perform, and the islanders just plain suck.
leafs i like because they're the closest team to me, red wings, cause they were a kick*ss team before they got all hasek and joseph.
and the avs are just plain awesome, you kno beating Vancouver out of their division title 9 years in a row:P
but yea Canucks are a great team, Bertuzzi is one of the best players out there IMO next to joe sakic

there is two reasons y u should let her play with u.
a. the "pro" of the free paint, air, and field costs, WAAAAY out-wieghs the "con" of ur mom cuming.
b. no one will know, or care that ur mom is playing. if anything i would be impressed that ur mom was into paintball.
and judging by the pole #'s id say that most other ppl say that 2. so take ur mom paintballin, get FREE paint, FREE air, and FREE field fee. not such a bad sittuation.

My Dad played paintball with me before and he owned in speedball so I'm thinking maybe my Mom and step-Dad would be able to play too? I'd say go for it because it wouldn't cost as much if your Mom paid for everything and you could actually talk about paintball around her without her thinking "BARREL CONDOM! Why in the hell is it called a condom?!" when you mention you'd like a new one with a Smart Parts girl on it:P.

In vietnam, GIs used condoms to keep dirt outa their barrels.
Maybe that has something to do with it...

Put it this way, my mother playing paintball= no chance in a few lifetimes even if she was paid to play. Sounds cool, at least you have a parent that's interested. My dad was interested in playing but he's passed away unfortunately.

You bet let your mom play... i'm a mom and actually i'm a grandmother and I play... we get together with the neighbor kids and play woods ball... we pick poker chips out of a can so we can't "load" a team... you never know who you will be shooting... my son and 14 year old grandson love that my husband and i play.. my grandson brags to his friends in school that i play and he tells them that he would rather be on my team as I'm usually the "Last 1 Standing" because I'm good... not because I stay hidden and don't play... So be cool and let her have some fun too... you won't regret it

My mom has played twice and my dad was playing since around the time I was born or a little before (I'm 15). They understand it's something I like and enjoy playing. It's the only sport i play. Just recently I asked my mom if I tried out for a team if she'd help me out with rides and some of the first expenses (jersey, maybe new spikes, paint for try-outs) and she said ok. I don't know that she would have said that had she not played before.

Dethstyl, your avatar is scary.
Now, if you're gonna let your mom play, then make sure you're both on the same team. Shooting your mom is not nice, and her shooting you could ruin your pride for the next 20 or 30 years.

And hey let's not forget who was all up and ready to shoot at me! I guess I might feel bad shooting at her, I think I'll play on the same team unless she starts trying to protect me and not focusing or something.
