Ok, I've got a question in regards to ambushing your opponent. Say you're playing defense, and you're out on the side of a trail near a fort your defending. You're playing perimeter defense. You like to ambush people. Do you:

a) sit off the side of the trail in cover facing the direction the other team may come, or

b) sit with your back to them somewhat, and wait for them to walk by and shoot them in the back. Or,

c) sit perpindicular to the trail, and then turn a bit after they walk past you?

Basically, I want to minimize movement, but at the same time, I want to be set up for a quick ambush without making too much noise in movement...

Im not really sure what to say, it just depends on if you are by a tree, or by a bunker. If you are by a bunker, chances are the person is going to check there, because bunkers are obvious. But if you are by 1 out of 100,000 trees they might not check that tree that you are behind. I try and think of it this way somehow. Now you say the left side of a fort, the thing I would do is to face the enemy, and sort of pivot with my foot....like make a bare spot in the dirt so that nothing moves when your foot moves. When they come by, pivot with your foot and then attack. Thats what I do most of the time.

Waite for them to come around a corner. Or till they are somewhere where there is no cover.

We play a game called sniper (just a name, nobody start anything)
where 1 guy will go up this big road that's about 20' wide and hide. and then the other 2 will go up after him. The best thing to do I have learned is waite for them to come around a corner, Or waite for them to come to a spot where there is no protection so they can't hide behind anyhting.

tha't what I do though.

My favorite thing though is hide under a bush. Waite for them to come around a corner. waite for a good shot, take it, if you miss, pop out and charge them.

best thing is if you can conceal youself totally, let them go by you and then attack from behind. they will probably try t run and you may be able to get more than one of them without to much effort. also if they run, you can then reconceal yourself an stalk the remaining ones down.

*nods* Cool. I'll have to remember the corner thing. As far as concealing myself totally...shouldn't be TOO much of a problem...I've got a good all around ghillie suit...

Thanks for the tips guys...
