Performance difference?

just a question thats been bugging me lately, is there a performance difference between the Dye boomstick and the Dye Ultralite. I know the Ultralite is alot light but im wondering if theres any performance difference, like accuracy...etc

amazingly with all my posts i have learned and use search and stickys

maybe you should take a flip through them sometime, there is no Ultralite vs boomstick thread. nor during a search did i find anything of use.
so here we are.

im just trying to see if theres some performance difference between the two. i just can't seem to justify the cost of a boomstick over an ultralite.

i'm assuming you are wonding if they use different grades of honing?
and the answer to that i do not know...lol
I wouldn't think so.
I think the ultralight is lighter and the boomstick is more durable.....there's probly some porting differences to?

i coulda sworn that id be in there. anyways, from what ive heard from haggin around the this forum, there is no difference whatsoever, cept that the back of the UL is alluminum, and the back of the boomy is stainless steel, but you probably already knew that.

so then heres this question, if the ul and the boomie have the same accuracy then why pay for a heavier more expensive barrel when you could have the same thing for cheaper and lighter?

Because the SS is much nicer looking IMO and it's strong as a tank. Personally I like the Boomstick a lot more but the accuracy difference is very small (there is one).

thats what im trying to find out
the boomstick IMO does look better because of the SS back, but for looks you gain weight.

then next time someone asks we can just point out ye old sticky...as usual

oh yea, they make "clear" backs to ultralites now, so it pretty much looks like SS, so now the boomstick has pretty much nothing going for it cept the durability...
