you hold in the trigger and pump the pump handel. for every pump there is a shot.

yes an auto trigger comes in VERY handy some times. It's a good thing to have. It works by you hold down the trigger and pump back and forth as fast as you can
I've seen people do like 3 or 4 balls a second sometimes
good thing to have

Set up a target 50 feet away and try to hit it while autotriggering. It is really hard to aim while you are shaking the gun by pumping it. If you feel outgunned by semis that is normal, but an autotrigger doesn't do much for you. It does allow you to spray paint without any hope of hitting anything, however. I wouldn't base the purchase of a gun at all on the autotrigger. If you're comparing a phantom to a sniper II, there are other more striking differences to compare, but both are great guns. I wouldn't give an autotrigger a second thought though.

The good part about the sniper series is that it pumps soooooo smothly that you can shoot pretty fast with out it. With my phantom i can pump the gun and shot individual shots at about 3bps tops. But i can aim that alot better then the auto trigger.
