what's up? you're not alone at all- I just started playing speedball (after playing woodsball for a loooong time) there's a pretty active speedball community in RI (Providence Paintball has a good indoor field, and the people are pretty cool as well). There are a few RI teams as well (I don't have the skills yet to play tourney though). But there are some good fields in MA as well. Providence Paintball has walk-ons on Wednesday and Saturday. It's a great time!

Yeah, well thanks guys, i'm really more of a recreational player though. Woods and stuff. maybe when i get a job and some nice equipment, i can join you in providence. It's quite a trip in the snow though. For I am a south kingstowner (stupid foster gloster gettin all of those schools days off):crazy:

trandy im from sk too man. i went to the pnl place once (is that the same thing you guys are talking about?) if it is that is a disgusting field and i wouldnt go there again.

anyway if you havent already i recommend checking out warzone in north kingstown when it opens up again

It's true that the sport can get expensive, but what's the deal with the fields in south county (well maybe I should say Washington County)? i know there is a field in Warwick that's free (no refs or anything)... i play indoor mainly but it would be cool to play woods ball too...

there arent any in sk that i know of (organized atleast, accualy noone in sk plays really except for me and 2 other kids from the highschool that i know of, but they are sophmores so they dont count :D )

warzone in north kingstown is the best field i played at they plan on reopening in march :| . i personally wouldnt goto any field that didnt have refs or safety proceedures of any kind though.

I've heard that Warzone is the bomb- I should talk to my buddy in Narragansett and see if he wants to head over there when it gets warmer. I totally agree about not wanting to play with no refs... I was thinking about getting a pocket chrono and a striped jersey so someone could volunteer to take the ref role- It'd be a bit harder with woodsball though. Seriously though, Providence Paintball is cool as hell and I totally recommend it for a good speedball experience.

Actually, there are a ton of kids at SK high who play, MOSTLY sophomores. Even a freshmen team challenged me and my friends. There was also a "big game" last sunday. I was thinking about it, and I should try to get a real shop open, not just the gunstore. Maybe even a field.........

lol belmore is the best i have crudale for a guidance councelor (this year she gave me the same class 4 times until i told her to fix the damn thing). i knew there were alot of sophmores who played but it seemed like most of them were the stupid kids who are wannabe CKY/ kids.

and i dont like the freshman hehe they all seem like wanna be punks with their blink 182 t-shirts and all that lame crap :laugh:

I think all of these, lookin for others threads have been sparked by me... or meybe i'm self conceided. Yes, 90% of sophomores have 98 customs and can't play (including me). Also, is it just me or are all of the freshmen a little "flamboyant">? Anyway, i like Belmore, he gives me candy.

hehe woj flipped out on a kid in my class today as a joke he almost ripped the top off his podium again.

i dont think the freshman are , i think they are all wanna be punks or some crap and they piss me off because they stand outside their home rooms all morning and get in my damn way (my locker is in the freshman homeroom area...)

anyway there arent any local shops (i suppose you could call the gun shop one but they only fill co2 tanks i think)

your best bet is boston paintball in warwick or www.paintballgear.com

i would avoid capitol after what ive heard from nick at warzone they changed their advice they give and its not very safe advice.
