I just got on a tournament team and now I want to upgrade to an electro. I want to get a shocker but I am not quite sure about the differences in the 4x4, S/F, and Sport Turbo. I am probably going to get it used online or something but what do you think the best shocker is and what are the differences?

4x4 just shoots semi, s/f(which smart parts has stopped making) lets you shoot semi 3 shot and full auto, turbo lets you shoot at high rof, if you buy a used one, it will probably be the only way to get a s/f, im not sure about turbo being tourny legal, but if it is that would probably be the way to go. if not then just a 2000 4x4 would probably be the way to go.

Turbo is not tourney legal, and generally isnt allowed at fields, so if you bought one, you'd probably never be allowed to use it. All tourneys and fields that i've heard of only allow the "1 shot burst" firing mode, so I'd suggest the 4x4

Do you know how fast the S/F shoots in full auto? And why would they limit you to only semi-auto? If that is the case than why would someone buy an angel that shoots faster?

they would buy the angel because the high rof is tourny legal, its not how fast, but the one ball with one trigger pull that makes it tourny legal

10.2 or 11.2 or something like that was the old ROF cap on the shocker, I think it's higher on the shocker 2Ks

If I am going to buy an electro I want it to have the ability to go full auto. I play with my friends in my backyard so I want to scare the hell out of them. If I got the Shocker S/F I would still be able to use it at tournaments in semi-auto mode, right?

yeah, but you'll need a tourny cap

Problem being, that if you want to play in the NPPL someday, you need a chip that has semi, and semi only, no tourney lock, no nothing. Which is ok, most of us will never take part in any NPPL events, but it's my suspicion that other tourneys will follow, and eventually even fields will be semi only
