Did you disable the ability to edit and delete posts in the trading forums? What about sellers who have a list of things for sale and get replies from people 2 months down the road 'cause they couldn't remove an item or put "SOLD" next to it? I'm not going to keep posting up that the item is sold just 'cause I can't edit my post. It'll just have to hang around for a while, get ups everyday, and clutter up the forum for no reason.

andrew must have changed it. try quoting the original post and write SOLD next to the item within the quote.

Yes, Andrew disabled it. There's a thread a few posts down that'll explain it for you. It's a closed one, something about trading in the title or something.

That's just going to "up" a maybe useless thread.

I think that'll be more of a problem than the reason for changing it was, but maybe not. Thanks.

It's there to keep people from erasing evidence of sales or transactions, to prevent people from trying to scam each other. Yes it presents a new batch of hurdles when posting, but like amzng_spyderman said, there are easily remedied. :)

I just save my PM's 'till the deal is closed, I also ask the buyer/seller to send an e-mail mentioning the specifics of the deal. Well I hope it helps but I don't think it'll last for long. People make mistakes and need to edit. I'm sure the people who invented whiteout and erasers made a few bucks.

Yes editing your posts in the B/S/T forums has been currently disables because people have been deleting posts and backing out and deals and such, costing people money.

On a side note, if a thread you posted in gets closed, do those posts still count to your overall.
i just logged on after coming in from shoveling and im down 15 posts, or did the mods go on a big deleting spree tonight, cause as far as i know i was posting legit questions and answers.

I really DO NOT like this.
I need to add items to my FS threads and I can't. I want to change prices in my FS threads and I can't. I want to update availbiliy in my FS threads and I can't.
I want to tell people if I've changed the status of an item or the prices I am looking to sell/buy for. Forcing us to make a new post in a long thread is a pain for others when they read thread.

Get my point? I am sure just about everyone is annoyed with this as well. It does more harm than good.

I'm sure if you pm a moderator, they'll help you out with it

Did you post in a thread in Masks telling people to not bash the Invision? If so, I deleted that. It was a pretty big thread.

I personally don't think it's a very good idea. Reneir brings up a very good point. I think the buyer just needs to be responsible for making sure the person is a reputable seller and keep there own proof.
