he is the exclusive retailer but dont worry, his service is top notch. as far as the gun, its sweet, better than piranahs and spyders in my opinion. it might be a little inaccurate for the first 1000 or so shots, i thought it was the barrel but im thinking it was actually the Reg breaking in, cause it is deadly accurate now, and its deadly quiet too with the stock barrel. anyway, i would highly recommend it, i love mine, and dont worry about bargainpaintball.com, it may appear to be a shanty, but its more along the lines of a mom and pops place, sweet service, sweet gun.

tacoboy

So you think its a good gun, and you really recommend it, i guess illl buy it but it cost ten bucks extra for the raised sight rail and the gauge. Whats up with that? Should i get them or which one ?
tacoboy
10-11-2001, 05:19 PM
raised sight rail should be free, was free for me, should be free for you, gauge, i didnt bother, i dont shoot enough to really need a gauge, but mostly i think they are ugly :).

Is the enigma company out of buisness or something because i never even knew about them, they must have a bad advertising or something. Also, Do 32 degrees barrels fit on the enigma? Thanks.
tacoboy
10-14-2001, 02:48 PM
i dont think the company is out of business, they are just very small. any spider threaded barrel fits, i know the terminator does for sure if that is the one you are wondering about, ive tried my friends, i liked the stock barrel better though.

I was thinking about getting the sniper barrel or the stainless barrel for my gun when i get it. Only $50 away or 40. Would a sniper barrel work good on a enigma? Do you still have your stock? I think you already answered that.

The Enigma looks like the Core Sharc. It looks like this other gun too.... I forgot the name.
tacoboy
10-17-2001, 06:57 PM
yeah it does look a lot like the Sharc and also the Xenon, there are some differences if you look, flush cocking for instance, i like that feature

to me the body looks kinda similar to a Rebel LE or Rebel Extreme.
tacoboy
10-19-2001, 10:04 PM
i bet if you saw them in person you wouldnt think that, it really looks a lot like the sharc

hey, im thinking off getting one to, my biggest thing tho is that i live in Canada, does anyone know if this would get held up at customs or something, and also, for christmas im going down to white fish, so is he located anywhere in this area?
tacoboy
10-20-2001, 04:32 PM
no idea on either
Enigma
10-21-2001, 09:33 AM
i dont think it would get held up in customs but if it did you'd get it back...so no worries. :) People thinking about gettting one should read the reviews on it. There really helpful on deciding if you should get the gun.

IMO it looks like the xtra. especially with that green on it. what does the drop backwards do though? make the weight more uneven?

hello, I am in a gun situation. I have narrowed it down to 2 guns, the spyder tl+ and the enigma EXC . tacoboy , which 1 is better if any body no's about the gun please give me your opinion on which 1 is better thanx!!
Enigma
10-26-2001, 05:39 PM
Enigma EXC, it never gives any problems or chops balls, ask even tacoboy.
splatmaster210
10-26-2001, 07:53 PM
Yea, I'll just end up buying the enigma btl fade green and the later on when i get more money i'll putt a 32* X-chamber (green) and a physcho ballistics dropforward (green) and a zap mach 404 hopper , then my gun will be really tricked. Also I am just curious but taco boy what color is your gun? and who ever else owns a gun out there what color do u have your enigma?

10-26-2001, 08:03 PM
From what I can see, that is IDENTICAL to the core sharc, but the body is milled, has a reg and different bolt(all other internals look the same) and the barrel is diff. I also happen to have a core sharc. The velocity adjuster is the same, milling seems to rule out the flush cocking but it looks different thats cool, looks like a nice gun.
tacoboy
10-27-2001, 10:23 AM
mine is the fade red btw, which is nice for me cause all of my stuff is red, except the pants i wear, so it matches. anyway yeah i think its a sweet gun, yeah i think it looks like a sharc. i get a picture of my setup someday when im not so lazy that i cant borrow my sis's digital camera :)
splatmaster210
10-27-2001, 10:26 AM
Yea thats cool , I also have another Question can i putt a spyder booyahhh frame on the enigma?
tacoboy
10-27-2001, 10:33 AM
i couldn't tell you that, you might ask the guy with the core, ive never even looked at replacing the frame, only had it a year or so, it performs as well as i need/want it to. not tourney level im sure, but good enough for me. anyway, the frames LOOK the same, but i couldnt tell ya for sure if they switch, i could probably go rob one of my friends spyder's frame and try it out, but itd be awhile before i did that
splatmaster210
10-27-2001, 10:36 AM
but what kind of upgrades have u done to your Enigma (tacoboy) I am just wondering?
splatmaster210
10-28-2001, 02:11 PM
yea , Well i hope the enigma eds up bieng a good gun!!!1:blah:
tacoboy
10-28-2001, 02:17 PM
i dont think you will be dissapointed. but if you get the EXR remember that it will take awhile to break in the reg on it, i was sorta disappointed with the performance of mine the first few times i went, but i attributed my inaccuracy to just not being used to the gun. well, a few games later once the reg was broken in i was deadly accurate with my gun, in its stock condition.
Enigma
10-29-2001, 02:30 PM
Whats a regulater do again, im kinda fuzzy on it, i thought it was a guage that measured co2, but its not. Im like 30 bucks away from my enigma exr, and splat is getting the enigma btl, i think.
tacoboy
10-29-2001, 03:12 PM
hehe the gauge is an option for the regulator, the reg itself just basically lets in only a certain, regulated, amount of co2 into the gun, keeping the pressure consistent, and thus keeping your shots consistent

10-30-2001, 01:19 PM
would an enigma 68 vtl and the shudder expansion chamber and regulator kit (bargainpaintball.com) work as well as the Enigma EXR? would it be the same thing? because itd be way cheaper that way...and how long have you had yoru enigma...i want to know if itll last. thanx guys:)
tacoboy
10-30-2001, 03:27 PM
umm i couldnt say whether it would work as good, that really depends on the quality of that kit vs the quality of the EXR's? ive had mine for 6 months or so, only shot about 6000 or so through it, couldnt tell ya how long exactly itll last, mines holdin up well, but i take good care of it, who knows, maybe you get a lemon, hard for me to guarentee you, but if you get a lemon it should be covered by warranty
coffeeboy29
10-30-2001, 05:44 PM
if the gun messes up...how do i contact Enigma? on their site it doesnt show any emails adresses or phone numbers...
coffeeboy29
10-30-2001, 05:44 PM
if the gun messes up...how do i contact Enigma? on their site it doesnt show any emails adresses or phone numbers... and how do you think it would hold up to a TL plus?
Double--Digets
10-30-2001, 06:16 PM
im gonna save the extra bucks, and get a mag, or impulse
tacoboy
10-30-2001, 07:05 PM
mag or impulse doesnt sound too bad to me, but that is a FEW bucks :). umm i think there a number on the warranty registration card, if you have a question about it though, just ask dave, his addy is somewhere on their site
Enigma

i just ordered my gun today cant wait till friday when i get it if it comes on friday if taco boy is telling the truth it should be a really good gun.
coffeeboy29
11-01-2001, 01:21 PM
does the regulator on the enigma EXR do much since it has a huge low pressure chamber? and is the EXC an EXR w/o the regulator?
tacoboy
11-01-2001, 02:22 PM
i never lie, hehe, anyway it should be good unless you get a lemon, exc is an exr minus the reg. its been said that an xchamber alone will "deregulate" the regulated air, but logically that doesnt not make sense, because the air is still in a regulated amount, regardless of what happens to it after that it will still be a controlled amount, anyway, i dont get shootdown, it seems to do its job.
coffeeboy29
11-01-2001, 05:07 PM
i....sorta.....get it.......so how much better is the EXR than the EXC?
tacoboy
11-01-2001, 05:30 PM
couldnt tell ya for sure, never even seen an EXC in person, but uhh, presumably the one with the regulator would be superior :)
coffeeboy29
11-02-2001, 04:29 PM
but is it worth the extra 40 bucks?... cuz i can get quite a few paintballs with $40, and the drop backward makes it look really weird....does it throw the gun off balance?
thanx tacoboy
tacoboy
11-02-2001, 05:54 PM
well ask yourself how much consistency is worth to you, and then you will have your answer. but remember, a regulator is something you can add down the road. and yes the drop backwards is awkward, use a tank buttplate if you are going to use it, or use a remote like i do, i use it with the tank connected direct sometimes though, im more accurate with it that way... but yeah, you can add a drop forward if you want too...
coffeeboy29
11-02-2001, 06:41 PM
but doesnt the jibungous low pressure chamber make it really consistant already? ..hey..i made a new word...(sorry for all teh questions)
tacoboy
11-02-2001, 09:49 PM
umm, helps shootdown mostly i think, i dont know for sure, not an airsmith, but thats what i imagine, the reg is what makes for consistency
coffeeboy29
11-03-2001, 12:41 PM
o...ok. and 1 last question. have you had any problems at all even reall small ones? and how does it compare to the spyder tl plus. ..i gues that was 2 questions.
tacoboy
11-03-2001, 01:57 PM
zero problems so far, except i blew an oring on my remote the first time i played, but that was my fault cause i screwed the thing in only like 1/4 the way before i pressurized it...to the TL plus it is superior, thats what two of the people i play with use, they prefer mine too.

11-04-2001, 02:02 PM
tacoboy, your genueistis on the Enigma provides everybody with the right information on the the Enigma....I sure hope i become just as all knowng about the Enigma Exr than you..its making me cry. :)
tacoboy
11-04-2001, 02:08 PM
hehe its not so much genius, its a really simple gun, just like the piranah's and spyders, in simplicity that is. just seems to have less problems than my friends piranahs/spyders, and that is why i love it. who knows though, maybe i got super lucky but i dont think so. but yeah, its a good gun, and it doesnt take a genius to do anything to it, just maintain it. I use teflon oil in case you were wondering. its sorta scary the first time you use it cause your bolt will look super scratched, but its just the oil, rubs right off and is ready to be sprayed again, and the bolt will be nice and not marred...good stuff.
Enigma
11-04-2001, 04:39 PM
and uh were could you get this stuff like online where specifically... like bargainpaintball.com or thepaintballstore.com or xpaintball.com
