How big is the paint? How big is the barrel bore? I only chopped when I tried to cram too big of paint down too small a barrel.

Are you chopping or are you breaking paint in the barrel? Is it coming up the feed neck or is it within the last 6" of the barrel. Explain a little further and people can help you out a little bit more.

Chopping is pretty rare in a shocker, at least in my experience. I have chopped a total of 1 ball in the thousands of rounds I have shot (it was some sorry paint too..). I have had problems with the gun pinching a ball, then feeding 2 into the barrel on the next shot where one ball would hit the other and break. To fix the prob we need to know exactly where the break is occuring-in the barrel, or in the feed tube. You shouldn't be running more than around 190 psi or so, and at that pressure chops should almost never happen. I drove myself crazy with pinching trying to slow the bolt town, when the problem was I had the firing timing too slow. It was creating blowback, that was keeping the balls from falling smoothly. I set my bolt back to where it was, and shortened the dwell on the firing piston- Problem solved.

Give a little more info and someone can help you.

I found some paint in the power feed.
It was definatly not the barrel because I had a problem with balls falling out.
The pressure was around 195-205 psi.
the enitre barrel was full of paint after all the breaks.
I don't remember much more:crazy:
Too much POT.

If you're sure everything is greased properly, you might check the timing. Try setting the timing on the left bank of dip switches to off, off, off, (I think the last switch controls turbo on/off)
On the right bank set your fire to 6.54ms and you bolt to 39.3ms. that should be on off on off. If it still chops, increase the bolt to 41.95 ms that will be on off off on.

If it still chops there, its probably not your timing. Something probably needs some dow33 grease, or possibly an oring is swelled and dragging.
