Newbie questions

Hey guys. Quick newbie question. I have never used a pump gun before. A semi needs those big gas tanks but does a pump gun need any air? I mean doesn't it get air from pumping the gun? I know...stupid question.

Have u ever used a pump action shotgun.. probably not, but thats what a pump marker is like. It's just pump action, u pump the handle which drops a ball into the firing chamber. It still requires a tank to shoot the paintball

There is no such thing as a stupid question ... only stupid people. In any case, a pump gun still needs an air source just like any other gun. Most people will run a bulk tank just like on a semi. Some people will get a special adapter and run 12 gram cartridges that last for 20-30 shots.

oh well. there goes that idea. I was hoping that a pump gun wouldn't require me to get a tank with air so i could just go play anytime with my friends. Where can I get the tank filled with C02?

you can get a tank filed at your local pball store or field. Or you can buy 12 c02 cartriges that you need an adaptor for at Walmart or something
