I am the captain of a rookie paintball team, and we’ve yet to play in our first tourney. I’m not too sure how well were gonna do, and I was wondering if someone could tell me what kind of equipment and experience is necessary to be able to compete in one. We are going to enter a “rookie/beginner” class tournament and haven’t played a full year yet, and own Tippmanns and a Spyder. It’s a three-man tourney. Could anyone shed some light on these tournaments, I don’t want to go in blind and find out I should have been packing an tricked out Autococker and ten years of experience for a rookie game. Thanks.

Rookie is supposed to be your first year in tourney's. Then come novice. Some rookie tourney's will let you have the one novice on your team. But in smaller fields and tourneys' they do not question what people call themselves.
One way about getting around it rookies do not really win high class prizes. Well its that way here. As far as markers goes I've seen all kinds of different markers used, not just cockers and angles etc. If you work together and let one another know what is going on and play as a team.

So must rookies have non-entry-level markers? And what do you mean I might win if I wipe faster? Do we not have a chance, or are you saying in rookie tourneys there’s a lot of wiping. I'm confused.
