What can cause an at85 to leak?

Are we talking a down-the-barrel leak or somewhere else? If it's down the barrel, the input pressure is not high enough to cock the gun. If it's leaking out that little hole in the back of the gun (the one that lets out a little puff of air w/ every shot) you should take down, clean, and reinstall the on-gun reg.
If it's something else, I'm stumped.

I tell my friend to try that, he hasn't got it yet but on ebay it said it has a leak. It was $325, was it a good deal?:)

no.... if it has an unidentified leak it wont be worth a shiznit. Probably just someone trying to screw you over.

Well krafty, if your friend gets the gun and it turns out to be either of the leaks I mentioned before, he's probably got himself an ok deal. If the leak is somewhere else tho, or if other parts of the gun are messed up (and there is seriously a LOT to get messed up), then he might be going back to ATS for some serious repairs, which is gonna cost him.

I picked up a "leaky" At85 for $200. Ifter inspecting it, it turned out that the plastic threads in the in gun reg housing were stripped. So now I need a new rear housing. Unfortunately, after getting in tpouch with an ats rep, it will take to long to get me one so I wont be fixing it until after I am done with boot camp. The rear housing with all the parts is $250, but the rep said I could get it without the parts in it for less. He has not gotten back to me on how much less yet though.:|
