View Full Version : shot myself
ok, we were all sitting around after an outlaw game today waiting for the other people to get some paint so we could play again and i was borrowing my friend's bushy. anyway we were all sitting there talking and i forgot i left the thing turned on. I accidentally touched the trigger and BAM! i shot myself in the leg from about a half inch away. it stung a little but i didn't hurt too much, maybe i've gotten immune to paintball hits, anyway am i a dumba*s or do these things happen?

i have accidentally shot my bushy so many times! never off the field though, i always shoot when trying to lean around a corner or if i move my gun. it scares the hell outta me though . . .

When you first get an electro, or first to get to use one, you make alot of goofy mistakes because you arent used to the sensitivity. You'll do things like run with your finger on the trigger, or squeeze the trigger by mistake when you slide into bunkers. After a while, you get over it and you learn not to look like a dork by shooting refs when you slide into your primary (not that that ever happened at skyball... no siree)

if your sitting around waiting between games i would suggest a barrel plug or barrel condom..........

Generally speaking, I prefer to keep threads in the GPTF as much as possible. Naturally, when I see "What makes the Spyder good" that would be moved, but more general subjects such as this I try not to move around much. After all if every thread went to specific forums, there'd be not a whole lot about paintball in general. Just posting my reasoning behind this because you showed some convern so I thought you should know

Like NickyB said.... Even when we play outlaw, we enforce the barrel plug rule.
Simply stated, nobody takes thier mask off until eveyone has a plug or condom on thier gun. It's just common sense really. Nobody I play with has any desire to loose an eye.

I play outlaw a lot... we always have saftys on and barrel plugs and stuff its the only smart thing to do.....sucks to be you.
i think i know why it didn't hurt much, it was at an angle and so it didn't hit me too directly but it busted everywhere and i had a big orange splot on my pants for the rest of the day, of course what do you expect when you shoot yourself. The other reason it didn't hurt is because i was laughing so hard that i didn't have time for pain. that was probably one of the most hilarious things i've seen on the field in a long time.
