I stopped by ICD a week or so ago and got to take a look around their plant. The lady that showed me around said something about a "New" marker going to be made in the next few months. Anyone know anything about this?

there has been a stirring of "new" marker rumors around the icd forum lately. no one seems to know anything for sure yet other that it's gonna be for the highest end market. to compete with timmy's and angels and such. and also that it is going to retail for 800+.

Yep, everything lucky says is true but, do you wanna know the name of the new marker? Sure you do, it's called Free Style

I can't wait to see pictures. I really can't wait to shoot one. I'm willing to bet it will be 1st or 2nd best marker around. Look at the performance of a B2K3, just imagine what they could do with twice as much cash. I'm drooling just thinking about what kind of performance that thing will pack.

I think it will perform like a fully upgraded b2k stock.

Look at the pic of the custom clamping feed tube (the greenish milled one) on icdpaintball.com On an ICD-O chat, gregicd was hinting that the pic of the milled feed tube was taken on the Freestyle.

Better than nothing right?

Haha, yeah, that is true. Does it look to you that the whole top tube is closed up (like an Angel) instead of having a pull pin on top? It looks like the pic goes back far enough on the tube that part of the hole in the top should be showing. Or possibly pull pin towards the back of the tube a la Excalibur?
And as someone on ICD-O pointed out, the Freestyle appears to have 3D milling on the body as well.:agree:

I don't think its going to be closed bolt ( that would be just crazy  ). Oh and by the way I'm not 100% sure but, I really don't think angels are closed bolt.

Angels aren't closed bolt, but they do have a design that allows the bolt pin to not stick out.
Something like that would be cool.

lol sorry for me sounding like such a newb but when it comes to bolts im sorta stupid. u mean hot have bolt pin sticking out, like the cocking rod? if so thats what i mean, so you just like put (i caught my newbish self from almost putting co2) n2 or comp air in it and then bein able too shoot it w/ o pullin the bolt back.

What I said about being like an Angel would be have everything flush, with no external moving parts. Angels have a part on the top tube that opens up like a lid for a chest or something for easy access to the bolt. And yes, they are open bolt. Or with talking about it being Excalibur like, notice that the pull pin on an Excab is still on top but all the way to the back of the tube instead of being right behind the feed tube. I don't know why ICD would do it like that but it was a thought.

well, actuall, you don't have to "cock" any electropneumatic marker that I'm aware of.
The bolt pin is the little nub that stick out of the top of Impulses and Bushmasters about 4"s behing the feed tube.
Angels and Matrices don't have these sticking out, they have something that serves the same function but is contained totally internally.
This has nothing to do with closed/open-bolt operation btw.
