The reviews on pbreview.com seem to like it but i'v heard if you don't have the right barrel it won't work all that great, but i just want to know what you all think of it.

Too much trouble to get it dialed and adjusted right. If you like Cocker barrels get a Micromag.

No, my opinion only come from what I have read. In my defense, I read alot :D

yea....i heard they were way to much for the little backspin that you almost never get...but, if your lookin for a good way to waste money.

Take a look at the tech. article about rifled paintball barrels(http://www.technopaintball.com/thesecretsoftechnology.htm). It explains why a paintball cannot caused to spin by simply spinning the shell. From what I understand- a little "knob" inside the Z-body simpy catches the paintball as it passes, hoping to impart a backspin on the ball. You college level physics students understand why this doesn't work. Go buy a micromag.

Or, if it's just the body you're looking for, buy the Micromag body alone directly from Pro-Team for $150!!! (they woke me up at 7:00 AM on a Saturday morning calling me to tell me that, as I had e-mailed asking about it, which I guess is a good thing :D )

From what I've read (I don't even have a mag), dialing in is simple, easily taken care of at the chronograph. Also, if you don't want the spin, you can completely undial it so that it shoots like a normal 'mag. You need a large bore barrel if you're going to use the backspin feature. Something that would allow paint to 'roll' out of it, Just like the Tippmann, although the Z-body can be adjusted to produce as much or as little backspin as desired.

I wouldn't expect miracle performance out of it though, like that article says, its still just a paintball. Bottom line is: hey, if you have the money, why not? it won't hurt performance (though it might help it), and plus it looks cool. Ravi wrote a positive article on it and the other Galatic systems parts.

I think a cool invention would be a completely adjustable skid-plate such that you'd be able to put spin in ANY direction, letting you hook paint any way you'd want it to go. (I guess with a warpfeed and a z-body its possible...) :) imagine being able to hook paint at people behind bunkers latereally....mmm probably not plausible, but still fun to think about. :)

Hey guys, I'm new to PBR, but not new to 'mags.

I've actually got one of these Z-bodies, unlike some of you who seem to be basing your oppinions on hear-say.

now, I'm not trying to come down on you guys, but that's what it seems like to me.

Anyway, I LOVE my Z-body. It works. Like Mushi Said, dialing in the back-spin is very simple, and can be done On-the-fly.

If you find that you want the ball to dip a bit into someone's bunker, just turn the backspin down a bit. need that range again? Turn it up.

I think I can get my backspin dialed into where It shoots flat, without going up (Yes, it can happen :)) in about 3 shots. Just shoot, adjust, shoot, adjust, shoot.

No, it's not a miracle, it's science. Someday, I hope to get a warp feed so that I can get shots around bunkers :). Can't do that right now with more than 1 shot cuz when the 'gun is turned sideways, it doesn't feed.

Devastator: If you play a lot of woods, I really recommend it. If you play speedball, the extra range isn't going to do you THAT much good. The best thing (in my oppinion) is that it shoots FLAT and you don't have to worry about 'Lobbing' the balls @ someone.

Make sure that you get a barrel that is .697 or larger. Personally, I use a .700 CP barrel, and i shoot PMI premiums. It works GREAT.
