Generally, I do play front if I'm playing speedball, but...I don't play tournaments. So, my question is, how often to you front guys spend sittin' and waiting, maybe snapping off a few shots but generally, not doing to much?

When I hit my primary, usually within seconds my gun is up shooting at something. The thing is tourney paintball is when you snap you usually don't snap shoot wait 45 seconds and snap again. When I snap its usually a quick group of snaps.

About 90% of the time, if it's 3-5 man format, I'll hit my primary, count to three hippopotamus (this is important), and hit the center or close to the center. Rarely do I hit my primary and snap shoot right away. Always got to be on the move.

Center of what?

Center of the field I suppose  ...

Yes, moving is important when playing front... If you are EVER doing what you mentioned (sittin' and waiting, maybe snapping off a few shots but generally, not doing to much) you will be sent to the dead box with welts shortly. You need to be very aware the whole time you are playing front because you have the widest angles on the other team, and vice versa... I like to have my gun up and running while I am sliding in to primary, cross it up, check off bunkers then bump to a secondary... If there is ever time when you aren't doing much as a front player, maybe you should try playing further back ;) ...

I like that...same with, "If you aren't playing...then you are a spectator and spectators belong in the stands."

I play front and have found if you sit your out. If someone zones you the next thing you know they are coming over the top of the bunker and now you have a head ach. We play center flag so once you pull its time to move. Your back guys should be painting the other side of the field so you can move up and get the angles

In my opinion if you are playing front and you sit back doing nothing you shouldnt be playing front probably mid but as for me and most front players i know you get most of the action cause you are the one who will do the bunkering most likely and snapshooting is come well at least for me

If your playing the front you lead your team. once you hit your primary wait a few seconds then start your ss, but if you don't see anybody or don't hear/see any balls coming at you move up the outside (or if in middle pull the flag for the points) until you can be affective.

Front players deffinatly are not the leaders of the team, it is without a doubt in my mind the back players who lead if anybody.

They're back in the field, they can see everything, so they shout everything. Front players job is to listen to what they are saying and use it as best as you can. I know that if i'm not snapping at somebody i'll be posted on their bunker for when they come out again or be moving up. You can't be behind your bunker and not looking out for too long or you will get bunkered (considering your playing people who know what they're doing).

you simply have to think about what I said the front players lead the team by moving up 1st if they do not they take thier team out of the game.

front players break open the game, back players are the leaders though.

my son plays front for my team and once he is in position we yell enamy locations to him and then he starts snap shooting if he isn't allready. Strong communications are very key to winning

we are only a 3 man team though
