View Full Version : Trigger "sticking" when short...

After screwing in the top screw on the trigger as far back as possible, while still being able to fire with very little front slack, it sometimes "sticks." By that, I mean after pulling the trigger and letting go slowly, the trigger stays where it's at and doesn't release the microswitch. Is this normal, or...? Thanks for any help...

i have never had that problem, it could be dirty from paint or dirt or sumthin. i would put the trigger forward slightly and see if it still does it . . .

I have tried that as well, however, it usually unsticks without a problem with a 3mm trigger. I know that's pretty short, but being the greedy little person that I am, an even shorter trigger pull is desired... ;)

can you see any dirt on the trigger? 3mm is kinda long for a bushy trigger . . . mine is at about 1mm, but sometimes its too short for me

Nope, and sadly enough, both my hex wrench sets won't fit to get the tray off, which in result, you can then take off the trigger frame, and then the trigger... :(

I would mess around with the trigger spring, assuming the Bushy trigger is like a Shocker trigger. I used the spring out of a click pen to customize the trigger pull on my Shocker. My trigger fit tight in the slot, and if I didn't have enough compression on the spring it didn't want to push the trigger forward all the time and it got stuck.

I used to have the old "sneeze and shoot trigger" but i ran into 2 problems, 1st was, it was too sensitive, if my gun brushed up against something and clicked on i'd shoot 4 balls into my barrel condom, or while i was sitting behind a benker i'd shoot a ball an inch away from my foot.
2nd problem was it stuck, just like yours.
after i got over the whole "i bet i can have the shortest trigger alive" trip, i decided to take advantage of the adjustability and change it up a bit.
now i've got a fairly long over all pull if you were to release it totally on every pull (probly almost 2.5 mm).
but the actual actuation point is right at the back of the pull(.5mm). I can barely feel the difference between the end of the pull and where the begins. i can hit the rof cap at 11 pbs, and it feels very nice, and it's very easy to get a rythem going. i can keep up ~10 for 4 or 5 seconds, longer than i'll ever need to keep up such a high rof in a game.
