How much paint do you shoot on one average day of speedball? either practice or open play?

Probably close to 3000 balls but it depends on who your playing if its noobs then I probably wont use as much but in a tournament i might use more

Stock Class Gun: 50-300, Speedball or Woods. I once shot 400 during an 8 hour scenario.

Hopper Pump: 500 is usual for rec play. Less than 300 in tourneys or speedball. (Fewer branches :D)

Semi: Don't really know. I used to shoot maybe 500 for a few hours of speedball. I probably shot half a case at the last scenario I did with my cocker.

It depends for me, like yesterday I decided to try out playing back, so I burned 2, 140 round pods and a hopper of 200, lets just say I'm never doing that ever again.

Normally when I play front, I go through..maybe a hopper, mostly less than a hopper, when theres more people I wanna keep down though I usually go through half a hopper + a pod.

You learn to take your shots into consideration, and only shoot when you know you have a 100 percent chance of hitting the opponent. Even with laying down cover fire...it doesn't matter if its 1 paintball or 500 paintballs, one hit and the opponent is out.

Yeah I must have misread his post. I was thinking 40 eliminations, thats quite a bit to do with one bag of paint... 500/40 = 12.5 balls per elimination. Besides, I don't think someone could get that many in a game, even if they shot out all their teammates. :pirate:

in a full 8 hour day of Speedball, Woodsball, and practice targets I average 800-900

In speedball i've never shot more than 20-30 rounds per game, for me its not how many paintballs you shoot, its how you shoot them. If you are behind a bunker i'll shoot 2-3 to get your head down, as soon as you put you head down, i move somewhere else for better position, i usually only have to do that once or twice before i'm 20 feet away from you with a clear ribs shot, and you still think i'm at the starting bunker.

In woodsball i snipe, i'll bunker in and wait as long as it takes for you to be within 30-45 feet where i know i'm going to hit you, and then i only shoot 2-3 rounds. One of my best games yet, myself and a partner took on 5 guys, and i got 2 of em and only shot 10 rounds.

Don't take this the wrong way, but you just said when you have a good shot you let it fly...

If you have a good shot i would assume that you mean you are in a position where you are sure you are going to hit your target, so why would you waste paint and "let it fly" at your target and piss them off cause you "bounus balled" when a 2-3 round burst would have done the job without pelting them cause you "let it fly"?

Think about it, if someone had you dead to rights and you didn't know it, would you perfer that they shoot a 2-3 round burst that hits you and you are out, or that they "let it fly" and you get hit with 7-10 rounds and get you angered?

The one thing about paintball that you can never forget is that for every time you say "blank it" and walk the trigger on a target, you may be that person in the future, or that you might have been that person in the past.

Not everyone you play against may be as good, or as expierienced as you, i'd wager to say that they may be a first timer as you were once yourself, and if the first expierience to paintball is somebody unloading and "letting it fly" on them because they know they have the shot, would they want to play again?

I'd wager not, and if someone had done that to you, i'd guess that you'd have felt the same.

This game is about fun, what fun is it to nail a noob with several shots on his first day and have them think that all paintballers are @-holes???

i just got back today from my paintball field...

i had to let it fly when i had a clear shot...

i'd flanked sum1 from the snake while the ohter two on my team were distracting him...

i tried firing once, and (knowing my spyder) it missed by a mile...

i let off like 15 shots and 2 landed and broke on him...:rolleyes:

I am useally a front player so I use a lot. Maybe in the range of 250 when conserving BUT given an alomost (free paint coupon baby!) unlimited amount of paintballs I useally use about 550 or so in a game but that is when I go crazy on the trigger

hey i barely ever bunker down i have a simple theory behind my style of play i stay still when i notice another player i sneek up on them from behind i never go head on or fire more than 5 shots at a player. i am far from a sniper because i get close and personal not crackshots from far away. when i am outnumbered i move toward them making a offense not a defense. this simple theory i have never seen but twice before i think it is a great idea dont move if they are facing you and always go from back never fire unless fired upon or a clear shot is present. i also love making little kids surrender because its so much better than them crying. another thing that helps me from going triggr happy is that my hopper is a pmi 200 but it holds 175 so i can use 300 which is 2 hoppers.

It really depends a lot for me.....

One day I played some walk-on games with my dad and three friends, (mostly 2 on 2 games). I used 500 rounds that day. I went to a tourney in January and used a case. I went to another tourney last weekend and used 1500 rounds. How much I use is based largely on how much I have available. I have gone through games with less than half a hopper, and I have emptied my hopper and gone through 2 tubes before.

i pay $30 for house paint(generally factory seconds) which is decent, and $10 for admission, and either $6 for a 20oz refill(store gives a free fill for buying a case), or $10 for all-day air.

isnt using a pt extreme a little different from stock i thought they had to be a pump

ur rite...any type of a semi is NOT stock-class.

stock-class must be one shot per manual pump cycle, must run off of disposable co2 cartridges, and must either have up to (i think) a 10-round vert tube, or a 20-round horizontal tube...something like that, those are the most obvious rules.

back players are tite...too bad they wont let me play back...

our back-man sucks... :(

in a rec game for a full day i use probably 500 rnds i like to conserve but on tournaments i probably use like 3000 rnds

yea, in tourneys, u generally play like 4 prelim games, then like 3 tops finals games(if u make it), so u can definitely go all-out there, and you'd have to as well...
