Dont Open Any Emails From Shootpaint

Please do not open any emails from any email address listed as coming from shootpaint.com.

We have contracted the newest email virus and have been fighting it for the last few days trying to get it out of our network.

Any email, with attachment, coming from any address at shootpaint.com may contain this virus. Please make sure to update your virus scan before viewing any emais, with attachments, from us at this time.

We are working through this problem and hope to have it corrected within the next few days.

support@shootpaint.com has been diactivated until we get this problem resolved. This means no emails will be going out from us until this issue is resolved. You are welcome to send your emails in if you like along with a phone number and we will contact you by phone, until we get the problem resolved.

Crap, i got an emial from you with an attachment yesterday. I opened it, virus scan said it was fine.

Levi,

Make sure you virus scan has the most current update for it. The email that you have posted is a automated response to anyone that sends a email to our order server. This email is generated automatically so our order server doesnt get flooded with anything but orders. This is just one of the new things we have done to try to get things stream lined at ShootPaint. We had several people that would send emails into the order server wanting to know about there order and this became a overwhelming problem because we had to sort through 100's of emails to find orders.

You will notice in the attachment file we request you send your email to support@shootpaint.com. This is our general email address for all issues reguarding ShootPaint.

You can goto Symantec and do a search for MyDoom removal tool. If you have a single system the tool will clean the system very quickly. We have a minor problem since we have a small network setup.
1) Computer recieves all orders
1) Computer recieves all support emails
2) Computers bill and ship out products.
Only problem here is they are all hooked to one main server computer that was infected and spread the infection throughout the system. We have to take down each computer and go through them one at a time. We have done this twice now but still have the virus. I have a buddy that is a Network specialist. He is suppose to come over later tonight and help we get the problem resolved. As soon as I feel the system is safe we will update this post and let everyone our system is virus free.

These should be going out tomorrow.

Here is how things stand right now.

We have the MyDoom Virus.
It came in on our support@shootpaint.com.
I know the computer it originated from but I dont feel it was done on purpose.
Bad thing was the virus scan was just updated the day prior to recieving this email and it didnt include it. It spread from the email computer through our intranet and infected all computers.

I had a IT buddy come over last night and we now have three puters cleaned and will finish up with the remaining two tonight. We will get the server done then the email computer. I hope to have all going by the end of the night and catch up on all emails tomorrow.

If this doesnt happen expect phones calls starting around 12pm central time tomorrow.

Sorry gotta run for now have to finish up year end inventory. Anyone looking for some good deals on a bunch of none ICD stuff??? Have a bunch of things we are going to unload.

Sorry things didnt work out quite as planned but the email system is now back up and running. I will be answering emails tonight and hopefully have them caught up by tomorrow.
