Me my friends and some others had made a small unit in a scenario game. We were told by the general of the game to try and hold a really thick under brush path from the other team for a little while. He didn’t want them to flank the main team’s objective that was in play and so we went out. Heck we set up a great ambush and held it for a long time. Soon a few of their survivors that lived from these ambushes got more men and counter attacked us. I ran for some new cover that was a log. The rest of my unit had found cover behind of me that was way better then mine and started to return fire on the other team. My log was twisted weird where the bottom part of it was arch up so paintballs could hit me has I lay down. I called for cover fire and as they did I stood up and kicked the log over to turn it. Then I got back down but not long. I had stirred a hornet nest under the log and they were swarming mad at me. They stung me a few times. I freak out and ran away behind everyone else. They soon noticed what I was running from and also fled. The other team cheered and shot at us thinking they had caused us to fall back. I don’t know if they noticed why we were running away looking like dorks. ?:laugh
I looked back to see that the hornets were still after us as you could see a swarm trailing after us in a line where we were just at. That mistake taken by me lost our flank advantage and hurt the main objective as they had the flank.

What mistakes have you people done to cause you a good position or the game?:banghead:

LOL hornets!?!?! That sucks... well before I had a marker and I was using a rental Tippman Pro Carbine, I dont know what happened to the thing, or what it's been through but when I dove the thing shot me in the hand at point blank.:pissed: You should have seen me walk off the field... I looked something like this :censored: Then as soon as I was out the whole team was rushed. Yeah anyway lol Great story!:)

This kid Brian who was playing at my field was advancing up the creek line on a 1vs1 game, I was the ref. He was running atop a moss covered ravine, about 10' in height that lead to a creek. Needless to say he went dont and splash hes in the water while im about 20' away laughing my butt off. He got up and climbed the hill, threw his marker over and kept playing. The other kid had heard him splash and advanced on him, Brian tried to fire but he friend the board in his imagine. The other kid just lit him up. Brian was being a real douche all day so the other kid(and me) wanted to just spray Brian. The other kid got his chance:laugh:

One thing I must say. A counter-attack is when a defending force attacks an opposing force right after the opposing force has attacked. Your opponents are merely making a second attack, but not a counter-attack.

That would be funny, though, seeing hornets fly everywhere and cause utter chaos. I'll bet the opposing force ran into them later, as well.
