Alright, so I can either wait another week or so and get an 04 BKO or I can have an 03 BKO shipped tommorow.

I am stuck on this.

I like the Match Ano of the 04, and Cocker threads would open up more barrel options.

The real problem is that I'm supposed to be playing on the 27th (recquired team practice) and I'm not sure I can bare one more day of play with my Tippmann. The 04 my not be here in time so...

Of course, naturally I could dole out the extra cash to get the 04 rushed right on over, but I'm also poor already and need the money for paint.

I'm stuck. What would you guys do?

Look at it this way.

After the practice which would you rather have? 03 or 04?

Personally, I would pick the 04, because in the long run that is what you want.

Bare with it...that is what sacrifice is all about.

Also, Zenitram is working on ASA Adapter to use mitey maxes and cocker type LPR's. So you won't be missing out on what 03's have.

Alright, I'm think I'm gonna get the 04, thanks guys.

Also, Impya, what font is that PBChat Logo stuff in?

04's are much better than the 03-02 models, new hprs without as many problems, lpr in the same place as b2k(so you can upgrade to a sonic lpr if you want), also i like the smaller guage and cocker threads, another nice feature is that icd made the 04 compatable for the 4 way noid upgrade which is coming out soon, which will be nice because you wont be able to put the 4 way noid in the 03.

Im not trying to come off rude here, but why wouldnt you be able to put the 4-way upgrade into a pre-04?

I could see a problem with the old LPR not recharging fast enough, but a zeni asa w/ micro rock will fix that.

How would you be coming off "rude"???...Dude the 4 way noid isnt going to fit the older bko versions, icd manufactured the 04 bko to be compatable to fit the new upgrade that is coming for the bko, if you wanted to fit that upgrade on the 03 or older you would have to do some machining...

For real?

Im looking at my bros 04 ram right now and its seem exactly the same.

The whole ram assembly seems to be the same as my old 2k2. Well, you can remove the ram cap on the 04.

Or

Are your referring to drastic body changes? Because, I see no difference in the body.

your brother has a 3.7 not an '04 (not sure if you were comparing an '03 to your brothers or not) the '04 has mad milling and the internals can be rearanged compleatly and not notice from the outside

Cool.

I know there is an 04 milled and an 04 non-milled. I have only heard from GregICD that the only differences were the outside milling and HPR. He never mentioned anything about compatibility issues.

Oh well...I just dont see why ICD would make a kit that would work with the 04s, but none before it?

Hold your horses!

I just remembered seeing a video of a pre-04 BKO with a 4 way solenoid and anti-chop mod incorporated.

Ill see if I can pull it up.

ICD was not producing it btw.

EDIT: Here she is...

http://www.pdpaintball.com/BKO-RAM-prototype.WMV

Description: Here is a bench top video of it (the prototype ram/solenoid on a bko) cycling at 20bps in full auto. It was connected with hoses in that vid but would come with a 4way solenoid valve mounted just like the stock bko. You will see a knob sticking out the rear of the ram, its currently not using for anything and will probably be removed on a finished unit.

I see you are putting good use to my video thread over at PBN. Yeah anyway that is not the ICD 4 Way Mod, or whatever you'd like to call it. That is a video of a mod made by PDP (theres a thread on it somewhere on PBN, ill try to find it). I'm not even sure if it is going to be released.

edit: heres the link for info on the PDP Mod:

Yeah, I spend a lot of time reading up over at PBN.

I know its not the ICD Mod, I was just saying that there is a different 4-way mod in the works for the BKO.

I see no reason why the mod wouldn't work on pre 04 guns. And if for some weird reason they don't, we'll make them. End of story.

My feelings exactly.

The only reason I was thinking the ICD mod wouldnt work, is because i thought he knew something I didnt.

well we will see when the 4way comes out, to my knowlegde i was told that the 4 way will only be compatable with the 04 bko's. I've looked at pics of the ram and soleniod assembly on the older bko versions and they do look different then in mine, but not by much. I dont know we will just have to wait for sping..

I believe the only difference between the old style and new style rams is that the new one is easier to service since you can just screw the back cap off.

Bushy-Dude
02-18-2004, 04:15 PM
yea thats true, how do you service the ram, im curious because i want to know if anyone lubes up they're ram a different way to me.

ImpYa
02-18-2004, 04:17 PM
Well the basic maintenance would just be cleaning off the shaft and applying a light coat of lube to it.

Interior maintenance would require removing the hammer and sliding the shaft out the back, once you remove the back cap. Then you could clean are relube the inside of the ram assembly.

ok how the hell do you remove the hammer, i have tried and i cant figure out how to. thanks for ur help.

Alright, talked to Trav on AIM today.

Turns out I'm getting an 04 Xtreme, lol.

I guess ICD has stopped making the unmilled 04s or something like that.

They also wouldn't give SP a definat date on when the new bodies were coming in, so he doesn't know exactly when I will get my gun.

However, since my order has takin' SO long, Travis is having ICD ship the gun straight to my house in order to save me a week or so of shipping. :-D

ShootPaint is great guy, and all the people that bad mouth him have no idea what they are talking about. :finger:

The hammer is held on by locktite. You will need to boil the hammer some water and take a strap wrench to it.

I ordered a cp reg in late october, I didnt get to me unit mid december. This made me a little impacient, but I knew I would get my product. If I would have known it would have taken so long, I would have ordered from a different site.

Im not saying "Buy from shootpaint!" What am I am saying is that he is a good guy that wont rip you off. He just takes a long time to get products to his customers, so just order from a different site.

I sent 15 emails and 5 pm's and never got a response. One day a package showed up at my door and I had no clue as what it could have been, but here it was my reg.

Also, it wasnt his fault that he moved. Who ever was holding is lease wouldnt let him renew it and he had to move all of a sudden.

That means packing up all his inventory, all his field equipment, find a new place suitable for his needs, and then get setup all over again.
