hers what i did to my compact. i drilled a hole in the side of the receiver and then tapped it so it would take the bolt then, voila side mounted rail. idk if it will work on the rebel though

I've got a sight rail question....
I own a M98, with a Flatline. I've decided I don't want the shroud on, so that leaves a funky lookin curved barrel, and a more difficult way to sight....well, I own a Tasco Red Dot sight, but it's a weaver mount. I need a rail mount to get the sight up higher so I can see over the barrel...but does anyone know if Sight Rails come in the Weaver mount style?

Thanks for the tips guys. ;) I found it myself. Lapco's raised sight rail for the M98 is both 3/8 dovetail, AND weaver mount. So I found my answer...
