Not exactly new, but a new company is going to start producing them, I guess SP didn't put a patent on their idea.
Anyway, this mod will be cheaper, about $20 to be exact.
A friend of mine is going to beta test these mods, the rams are extremely easy to make the SP mod. All you need to do is drill a hole in a certain point of the solenoid/ram. Easy for any home user to do, without spending the $80 price tag.
We'll just have to wait. :)

Yeah, I was reading up on it over a PBN. It works up to par with the SP Mod and maybe even better, I think Trav is going to need to drop prices wayyy down.

Yeah, your right on that one. I would also be good to enlarge the air passages in the ram.
Too bad a 4 way ram requires a little bit more. I would like to mod my ram, but I dont really want to mess anything up.

mabee someone can post a topic on how to do the mod yourself on the ram because i have a big drill station thing so it probably wouldnt be to hard for me to do it myself, i would like to try it.

Bushy, search PBN, there's pictures on there. I mean, I don't know why you'd want to do a mod like this, because they "suck" :P

no offense but if you refer to it as a big drill station thing, you probably shouldnt be playing with it.

i know what he meant but its like asking for a thing to put the screw in (screwdriver) if you dont know what the actual tool is called its best to just leave it alone, chances are you are going to screw something up.

lol, just because i dont know what it is doesnt mean i dont know how to use it, thanks for correcting me, anyway i will do a search cuzz i am interested on trying it myself, so why do you say it sucks microb besides the fact that you have to break it in. But i can use a drill press i promise, i guess i did come off kindoth noobish sound though...ohwell.

If you are having problems with your SP mod. Take out the ram and extend the hammer and shaft out and clean off all lube.
I had a problem with it not venting PSI fast enough and chopping some paint. Once I cleaned it off, it worked flawlessly.

yea im sure as hell not paying 80 bucks for shootpaint to do it, i am quit content on trying it myself, and i think i will be able to do it without much difficulty but i dont know yet.

It sounds a lot easier than it seems. ShootPaint developed the mod, by he as a machinest drill the ram.
Make sure you have an exact lay out. Dont just drill where you think it might work. The SP Mod involves more than one hole.

I didn't say they sucked, you did. Hence the qoutes. The mod is completely awesome and kicks face.

Yeah, if you drill one big hole its going to weaken the ram.

I cant really remember, but I believe the SP mod involves something like 10-14 small holes.
However, I think you could do the D.A.M mod rather easily.

New BKO ram 55 bucks.
new sp modded ram 82
D.A.M. ram 20 bucks...............20+ ram55 = 75 bucks.
i mean you still have to send in a ram so it is cheaper than teh sp modded ram but not by much.

After 3 months I'm still having difficulty getting mine to work right.
It pinches, but doesn't always develop enough force on the valve to get a good ball velocity, and is inconsistent...

actually.. both sp and dam are very similar.. they are trying to achieve similar result/effect.. but are applied differently
and impya.. the spmod/bko is much more simpler than you've heard

Even so, Stunna Lot, it's not just one giant hole drilled into the ram.

^^^^^ i never claimed it was... and nothing is actually done to the "ram shaft" itself
