how did you get started?

I want to know what made you decide to start playing paintball.

For me it started when i was about 9. i loved to play with nerf guns with my friends. when i grew out of that i heard about paintball. when i was 12 i got my first gun...a blade.
it was ok when you play at home with friends who arent any better. a year later i got better equipment and played as much as i could at the local field and still love it.

Well me and my friends we are gamers, one day all of the games got old so we needed something to do so we thought of paintball. We got our guns aroung christmas and start playing. Then we started getting serious about it then we got better guns and equipment and it took off from there

My friend was like " Doo-Ad! u gotta get a paintball gun, there tight." So i was like "Ah'aight, so......., wanna go threw your sister-in-laws under wear drawer?" and he was "Bebop dawg!"

Me my brothers and some friends played with bb guns with heavy coats on and decked up face P.P.E. Those did hurt. After a while one of my friends got a paintball gun because he was so sick of bb’s hitting his hands. He went to a game with some other people and he told me about the stories when he was there, and it sounded so fun I had to get a paintball gun. So some of my brothers and other friends all did an order and got paintball guns. We went in my 12 acre back yard and built some forts and bunkers to play in the woods with. Some of the first games were the best ever. We all had pumps only at the time. After a while someone got a Semi auto. I think it was the "equalizer" at the time and we were amazed by it and so everybody got better guns and then better and better.

I first started playing airsoft for a year and got really into it, but then it got stupid and my friend played paintball, he has an angel speed, he told me about it and sold me a vulcan 5000, the worst gun ever, then i went to the local field and played. i liked it so much i ordered a spyder amg lcd, (a great newb gun) and now i play every weekend and love it.
p.s. my 300 dollar airsoft gun is in my closet collecting while i play paintball:D

My uncle let me use his black maxx when i was 12. Then my friend went paintballing and bought a marker, i forgot what kind, it was a brass eagle though. Then I bought a blade, when we played he ruled me because i was changing CO2s constantly. I sold the blade to someone for $45 and bought myself a stingray II ice. My brother crossed the threads with my tank on that so I exchanged that for another. I went to play at a field where i was literally ridiculed for the marker and a ref told me to buy a 98 custom and gave me all these pros about it. Im never listening to a single person about markers again. I kept and upgraded the tippmann for a little over a year. Then I sold it and used my friends spyder shutter while I worked my butt off constantly then bought a 2k2 timmy. I love that marker, I pet it and walk it and oil it every time I use it. Its like my child who is really really expensive.

As soon as I came out of the womb I was handed a marker and put on a field. I wish.:( Truthfully I started a couple of years ago when my friend asked me to play. Now I can't stop.:D

It started when I took my gf paintballing..I shot her in the back of the neck and it left a little mark...then I was hooked from then on.

From age 4 I loved super soakers and dart guns. Me and my bro always went at it with these "violent" toys. When I was 12 or so my bud had Laser Tag. This game was so pimp and I was obsessed with it. I had a mini version and was so into it. Then I found out about paintball and wanted to play for a few years because my friend had a Talon and said Paintball was fun. So 3 years ago I bought a Samurai (ugh a newbie with another BE!). I started playin and have been hooked ever since man.

yea like a lot of people i got introduced to paintball through laser tag. at about the age of 10 me and my 6 other friends would play neighborhood laser tag. about 2 years my friend bought a stingray, i thought it was cool so i got a spyder sonix. we played at his uncles and then went and official field first time as a birthday party. now ive been playing for about 2 1/2 years.

when i was little i loved to play with fake plastic guns. then when i stoped playing that i got a blade. now i love to play paintball.:D

when i was 7 or 8 i looked in the back of my brother car and i found a stingray a blade and winchester poitnzero i think anyways i stole them from him and played war with my friend sthen my older friedn came over and told me that it was a paintball gun so we went and boughtsome paintballs and co2 and on my first shot with the gun i shot him in the leg it was funny ever sence then ive been hooked i never gave them back i sold them or broke them but he didnt want them so ya

I had always wanted to play paintball just because i thot it would be fun, but I never ended up playing. Then my cousin started getting into paintball and i begged my mom to allow me to get a gun. Well...she was totally againts it but after a long time of convinceing she decided to let me play. After the first game I was totally hooked and bought a gun my second time at the field.:D

i started playing 6 years ago, my brother paid $40 for a talon and all the fixings and we'd play in an abandoned building across the street. we started out playing where 1 person had THE gun and would go hid, the other guy had to get from poinnt a to point b without being shot. that all changed the christmas i got my own talon. i got my first semi 2 years ago for christmas and then got my 98c when my avenger sucked. i now shoot a minimag that owns you and i own the mag so you do the math.:D

Well mydad was a satellite dealer and i came to work with him that day i was about 4 or 5 and my dad went to his friends house to fix his reciever and i was outside and his 15 yr old sun gave me his automag with like 200 rnds in it and i was shooting squirrels and birds and even him :laugh: then he said wanna game i said sure and he had a course in his backyard and i lost everygame but that was enough for me to keep on going

this sounds strange but the first time i was sucked into paintball was when an ac repair man came to my house. he had a mag in his trunk. he showed me it and went on and on about how i should play. but i was really sucked into it big time when me and my friend startin playin together.

well my lil bro played and i sorta got interested. well my friend says i should get shot first to make sure that i wanna spend the money since its already a buttload to get started. well he says he'll shoot me in the chest from 20ft since that is as close as youll wanna get hit. well he misses and hits me in the nutz and i decide not to play cus i layed in bed for like 2 hours in the worst pain imaginable. well after a few months i go to my friends field after work one nite to watch them play. well they talked me into going out there and i 1vs1 this lil kid with a big mouth. we both have spyder imagines. i hit him twice and but he wiped and then he gogged me. i was hooked after that. i still owe that kid who wiped. he lit me up a few weeks ago after i screamed i was out. i freaking threw my fenix at him.

when i was 8 my cousins got TL+'s. but before that, he was looking at a bunch of guns on sport alternative and i thought they were really cool looking. after my parents said no, i kinda forgot about paintball. when i was 13, i rediscovered paintball and spent the summer researching guns here. in january i got a custom 98 and i still play with it today

A good friend of ours at the time owned a Hobby Town USA. He was older than us and we used to go up there on a daily bases, just to game. One day he gets in the Brass Eagle Pistols. We each end up getting one, with a load of co2 cart, and goout later that night to his farm. What a time we had.

It was all fun and games till we ened up all of us buying Tippmann prolites. I myself purchased a tippmann Mini-lite. The only difference in my gun was that you could put the tank on the bottom of the marker under the barrel. I can still remmeber being inside the barn when game on was yelled. Needless to say we were all freaked out but the ROF, and sounds. Been hooked ever since.
