View Full Version : flushcocking
hello all...I'm looking into changing my rear cocking mechanism to a flushing cocking and getting rid of the beaver tail. I can't seem to find info on this procedure. Any help regarding this would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Btw this is on a g2 sts

Well I know you can buy a kit to make it flush cocking from xpaintball.com, but I've heard of it breaking more often than the rear cocking system because there are more internal parts.

Two friends of mine and I bought STS G3 VF markers, which come with the flush-cocking system. Of the three markers, two could not be cocked after a few shots on the shops indoor field. The owners stated that this isn't uncommon with the flush-cocking system, because the slot in the cocking handle can be just a bit to long, preventing the handle from pulling the hammer back far enough to cock the gun before it runs up against it's stop.
He replaced the two faulty Flush-cocking mechanisms with regular mechanisms, which work flawlessly.
The third marker (my own) has never developed any flush-cocking-related problems, and it has thrown a lot of paint since.
YMMV, but unless you really hate that moving cocking knob, I'd suggest sticking with the original system.
thanks for the info...from what i've read on the net is...if its not broke don't fix it, just leave it alone.
