I was wondering if a lapco powerfeed is worth the money or if you can just drill a few holes in the stock elbow. And please dont flame me, i did do a search and couldnt really find a definitve answer. Thanks for your help!

To tell the truth, you shouldn't have much problem with blowback kickin balls up the stock elbow until the hopper is almost empty anyway, so as long as you keep it filled a bit, you shouldn't have a problem. when i first got my 98C i was rippin off bursts at 6-7bps with a fairly full hopper and wasn't having any problems.

 Good to know the info I put out is already bouncing around.

Powerfeed uses blowback to help push paint to the chamber, making a it slightly faster than regular gravity feed.

Drilling holes just vents blowback to keep paint from being pushed up a short stack.

Unless you're having chopping problems already, don't bother with either.

i say you get a lacpco direct feed and one of these sweet mommas http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/images/misc/pps-feed-yoke.jpg you can find them here http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/CATALOG/CATALOG.HTM

who cares that the yoke is more expensive than the direct feed its great!

ps: it is prefectly curved on the inside instead of sharply angled like other elbows so it will feed faster

As Haze said, if you aren't chopping, don't worry about it.

I think it is worth the money, it feeds a bit faster. But, if you arent having a prob. w/ chopping, you really dont need it.

Try drilling holes First, Then if you feel it is not enough for you, try the direct feed. When you drill holes in your stock elbow, be sure not to drill them in the front side where you can get shot and get paint in your elbow. Drill them on the right side and rear side of the elbow.

The direct feed will help, esp. if you are still using the stock hopper. But, also keep your hopper from getting very low on balls.
