I recently installed a Psycho Ballistics drop forward on my 98 custom. Just now I tested it with some c02, and it had a horrible leak. It spews gas horribly out of the asa adapter on the drop forward where the tank screws in. It leaks no where except for there, I ensured this by putting teflon tape over all of the macroline fittings. What is wrong, is it just my tank or what?

Put an o-ring on your tank.

Yeah, check if you have an oring on your tank like turambar said, and if you do try oiling the o-ring a bit. If the drop forward has an on off valve make sure its either all the way open or closed. But you probably just don't have an oring on your tank. Also make sure your tank is screwed in all the way.;)

the drop doesnt come with the plug sealed on the side
put some teflon tape on the plug in the side and then try again.

 Well, I think that just may be it then! I was hoping he wouldn't be so, ah, ignorant, as to not have an o-ring on his tank.

Try putting the 1/8 in and if it fits snugly then it should be the one.

most hose fittings and gauges used in paintball use 1/8" NPT threads. you're looking for a 1/8" NPT plug.

not if your on co2... theres no point to have one by your co2 tank... its not like hpa, it serves no purpose.

OKAY....I just realized the plug was in there (heh, heh...). So I tried a different approach, I took the drop off the gun but kept the 90 degree fitting and the hose on there (so it looks like a drop with an antenna) and i screwed the co2 in....well it worked like it was supposed to and exited out the end of the tube as normal. So I figured, Hey!, I must have fixed it......WRONG....I put the drop back on the gun and hooked the tube to the 180 degree fitting that screws into the valve and secured it....It did exactly what was wrong in the first place!! It spewed gas out of the asa adapter (like the tank had no oring, but it does) WHAT IS WRONG?! I m very confused and frusterated, please HELP!!

please elaborate... i dont understand what you are saying.
you took the drop off with the hose + 90* elbow on.
then you screwed in the tank into the drop when it was off the gun?
are you sealing the hose properly with thread sealer or teflon tape. are you wrapping it in the right direction.
if its the asa adapter and your plug is sealed properly... then replace your tank oring because sometimes it may look fine but it is no good.

That is the only thing I can think of that would be wrong. Replace the o-ring and see what happens.

Good News!! I fixed it....I teffed all the fittings just for extra protection, and then i found the problem, it was not the oring, it was not the teflon tape, it was not the plug, it was this knob on the back of the adapter that was tightented up all the way, well i loosened it up, and it works perfectly now, heh it was soooo simple and I went through all this trouble...i feel stupid lol, oh well at least it works now lol :D
