I have found that i dont need an eye on my piranha. My revvy keeps up with it and i dont chop. Read reviews or try the PMI forum.

yes, break beam systems are better. the EVO hasnt been released yet. you can preorder it though at several sites. try to shoot both when the EVO is released and find out which one you like better. My G3 is currently getting a new 5-20 bps board and a eye system installed as we speak. only cost me 100 bux. :elephant:

A properly maintained TES does not chop paint. If it does there are four possible reasons:
1. Hopper too slow
2. Paintballs defective
3. Set up incorrectly
4. Defective marker
A good testimony to this is the overall rating score in the reviews. Funny how some have been intent on posting phony negative reviews in an obvious attempt to lower the ratings. But the "posers" have been deleted, and the overall score is 9.8 or 9.5 depending on the category.
Question: If you really have a TES why did you not mention it in your last JT USA Excellerator 6.0 review on Jan. 11th?
Plus you said:

No, I don't work for or with Odyssey/Dragun. I am a biologist!

you cant just slap this eye upgrade on any marker. it is for any Piranha (G1 - 2k4) that has the 2k2 E-force frame on it. the only requirements are Piranha and 2k2 E-Force.

JT Excellerator Have had for longer than my TES i have 58,000 shots fired on my 6.0 just got the tes about 2 weeks ago.. Altogether i have a A-5, Dragunfire, Flash, JT 6.0, Rebel LE, Piranha Pro Ts G3, TES. Had a Tippmann 98 sold it and used lots of other blow back markers but tes first with the eye. Why should it matter if a hopper is too slow for the tes i mean it does have a eye correct it should only shoot as fast as balls enter the Chamber

ya but if he has a slow hopper and he has a black shell paint or some paint gets in the eye etc... with the speed it will be chopmania

Right now i have a spyder xtra with an esp frame a shoctech bolt and an empire reloader also i have a J&J ceramic. now i some times chop paint. if i get an evo or a tes than i shouldnt chop any paint b/c it has eye right? also these camed or wat ever boards that are coming out for spyders are they just as good as the tes with eye or an evo?

WRONG! I have seen many Properly maintained TESes, my friend owns a TES and he takes care of all his guns. The Tes's eye hardly works, I chopped and broker paint while I was trying to shoot it. I was using an egg2 hopper with y-board by the way:cool: The Piranha Evo will undoubtely have better performance, the Eye will work, and the gun won't give as much problems as the Tes's does.

First thing, low end companies often mistakenly ship markers with defective parts, even on the higher priced blowbacks like the tes. One case of an eye not working is hardly evidence that the evo will be tons better, especially considering how many defective piranhas I've seen over the years.
Now for a simple solution to your friend's problem...get the eye fixed, as it obviously isnt in working condition.

i have 3 piranhas, G2 sts mechanical, G3 vtl eforce (one in sig), and 2k3 ext pro. i have never had one problem out of them. if so it was my overlooking of something very simple. PMI makes quite possibly the highest quality blowback. the support you will get is the best as well. for example, a few ppl that have had a small problem with their reg have called pmi, instead of PMI making them send in there reg for fixing, they just ship them an all new reg, no questions asked. there was a feed neck defect on the early 2k3's that made the feedneck brittle and break off. the sent those who had gotten the bad feednecks and had broke off no just new feednecks, a whole new body with feedneck. thats service

And you just contradicted yourself.
PMI makes quite possibly the highest quality blowback. wrong, they are the same as spyders and draguns, you're just biased. Tippmann and action markers both make higher quality, and you can try to debate that to the death.the support you will get is the best as well. for example, a few ppl that have had a small problem with their reg have called pmi, instead of PMI making them send in there reg for fixing, they just ship them an all new reg, no questions asked. there was a feed neck defect on the early 2k3's that made the feedneck brittle and break off. the sent those who had gotten the bad feednecks and had broke off no just new feednecks, a whole new body with feedneck. thats service true, they have great customer service, never disputed that
Now, there are also many tes owners that can claim never having a problem, no one cares. It's the people who do have probs with their guns that display the true manufacturing quality, and if you think that pmi doesnt have it's fair share of those then you're blind.

ok i wont get into a flame war here so, whatever. piranhas came before spyders so oh well. in the end we can debate over which one we think is best for years. this is how i picked my marker. read all the reviews in the review section. spyders and piranhas have been around for years. so their markers are proven. all these dragun and diablo and 32 degrees and all these upstarts havent been around for 10 or more years like kingman and PMI. read the reviews, shoot the markers your interested in, then pick the one that best fits your bidget and that you feel you can handle the best. its not the gun that makes the player its the player that makes the gun. so if you have full confidence and like your markers feel, chances are you will do beter in a game than with a "better gun" that you dont feel so comfortable with. get what you like. not waht we tell you. if its crap, then you just learned a lesson. dont buy it cause they maker says its good and has all these fancy features.

I'm kind of cutting in here but your friends gun is one out of all the TES made, one gun shouldn't classify all of them as bad

not to be an but how do we all know the evo is going to be better than the t.e.s if it hasnt been released? just my 2 cents, but i would agree, the evo PROBABLY will own the t.e.s

im just tired of the gun vs gun threads. run a search, read reviews, and shoot them both. if you cant make your own desission from that then well, you dont need to play pb.
