I hacve a friend that bought one of these back in July...it worked really well, has a great stock barrel. But the key word is "worked" past tense, after a month the trigger had worn itself down so that instead of catching the bolt the bolt just slid past it...making it sound like it was out of air everytime he pulled the trigger. The backwards drop forward is really dumb too. Nice expansion chamber, really big.

All in all...its a spyder, with parts that wear out really really fast, you can do better...trust me, if you buy it, you'll want something better about a week later anyway.

Screw the small stuff, If you're looking up paintball stuff on the internet you're probably addicted...and you won't be happy until you have the absolute best thing you can afford. Like me

IMPULSE ALL THE WAY!

Automags are getting cheaper..and they can still compete w/ the big boys, I suggest taking a look at one of those. They have some ko0 upgrades too.

you want a cheap, reliable, great performing gun eh?
go for kingman.

either go for the compact 2000, and upgrade the gun as you get money....
80 bucks
you'll need to buy some kind of foregrip in the future (regulator, expansion chamber, gas-thru grip)
buy an aftermarket barrel
needs supplied hose setup (macroline or steelbraided)
basically limitless possibilities, if you have the money to upgrade. the most upgradeable gun (the choice of anybody looking to "trick" out a gun)

or buy the xtra (now comes in a blue, with a pre installed steel-braided hose)
the xtra is vert feed!
It has a foregrip (x-chamber), questionable.
double finger trigger
upgrade the stock barrel w/ a bigshot or cp, or anything really!
has a mini dropforward
just hype, and is a lot nicer than the ugly *** sharc.

plus, kingman is a proven name.

you might also want to go to the field, and try out some tippman model 98's they are a unique gun. I like them as well as spyders.

About the firing mech braking is true. One of the stock spring in the grip frame is too hard/tense/whatever and will break. I had a new softer more durable one put in and 0 problems. Stock, it whips a TL or shutter and that is fact, I compared both before I bought it. It shoots very fast, has a nicer trigger pull, wont chop good paint but the occasional seconds break will occur (crap paint). In comparison with spyders and the like, it's cheaper, lighter, has a very decent stock barrel, nice expansion, nice volumizer (I made a huge drop for it but I have the stock drop). The grips arent all that nice but I wear gloves. It's a great starter. You just use it until you save up for a tricked cocker. My cocker barrel cost just about as much as this gun (for example). In any case, I have a black/chrome sharc, not much use, I have the box too. If you're interested lemme know, I can send you pictures. emailstartsafterbackslash/neercsneerg@aol.com

the core sharc is exactly that, cheap. It will fall apart faster than you can say peice of crap.

Get a spyder. I have a classic I got on ebay with all the upgrades. Their a lot cheaper but look just as cool as an autococker. Go to ebay or get one on this site. I've had NO problems. This gun shoots 12bps.
