My friend and I have a 10-acre paintball field, but now that it is done he is worried about letting people on for fear that someone will get hurt and sue. I was wondering if anyone knew what steps would have to be taken to protect him from this.
Can you players simply sign a typed release form or must he have insurance specificly for a injury pertaining to paintball...
Thanks for any Help................

He will have to get people to sign a piece of paper excluding harm caused by falling over etc, and only possible suing must be a result of neglect from the marshals or the paintball site owners.
I think you can get insurance for paintball fields as well - thats why a lot of sites say that you have to use their paint cos thats what they are insured for.

He'll need insurance and, as everyone else has stated, have players sign a form holding him harmless if they get hurt ... also, he'll need to make sure that anyone under the age of 18 is accompanied by an Adult who understands the Hold Harmless agreement. Remember, a minor cannot legally sign such an agreement. If they do, and they get hurt, the agreement is basically void because someone under the age of 18 cannot enter into such an agreement.
