CT paintball field in or near coventry? Matts outback?

A bunch of us Mag owners are going to be invadeing a field in or near coventry at the request of a fellow automags.org member. Appearently some field regulars have been dissing mags and we are going to show them what its all about.

The location I have is"677 Riley Mt. Rd.
Coventry, CT 06238

I believe if you on rt. 44, and go down North river road you can find it. I could not find Riley Mt. Rd. directly off of rt.44 even tho the map I have says it is."

Is this Matts outback? or another field? Either way, what is this field like? I'm going to call tomorow for directions fromn Mass, but would like some feedback from CT players who may have been there.

This should be a real hoot! Tom Kaye himself has blessed this 'invasion' and has promised to give us a call during the day to show support. (Tom is the pres of AGD) Mags of all types will be represented, several E-mag owners have said they are going as well as RT owners and good ole fashioned Automag owners like myself.

Feel free to come down even if you are not a mag owner, this sunday should be a great day of paintball.

Matt's is closed, this Sunday, October 21st. They are open Saturday October 21st.
mattsoutbackpaintball.com has a calender listed of when they are open.

They have 2 hyperball fields, a SUP AIR field which was rearranged 2 weeks ago. A woods fort field and various woods fields. There will be a 10man NPPL practice saturday for 2 teams heading to the cup as well as walk ons, rentals, a mix of tourney players, and proablly a few crazy pump players.



As for directions. Alot of the guys who play @ Minuteman PB/UMASS play there saturday and then UMASS sunday including myself.

From MA. Take I-91 S to I-84 W.
take the 684 exit or whatever ?84 exit
follow it until it ends. merge onto route 44
stay straight on 44 into coventry after a few miles you'll head down a hill and N. River Rd will be on your left, I believe a red house is across the way on the right as an easy landmark.
a little way down N. River Rd you'll see the turn off for Riley Mountain Rd on your right follow that up the Mountain and you'll see the sign for Matt's.

From Springfield it should be less than 40 minutes depending on traffic.

Guys start getting there at 9am. Games are always running. Paint is Byop or buy at the field. They have 3 grades of paint starting at 55.
