Ok guys everyone says get a simple gun like a spyder then upgrade it. My question is can the simple guns costing $200 keep up with the high end guns costin $700. I know I could go crazy on upgrades but then I could have just spent the money up front and purchased the good gun out of the box. As you can tell I am new and onfused
Are the guns that hard to learn? Why do I need to start with a simple gun (I really want a diablo matrix or a palmer blazer.).
Thanks for all your help so far!! You guys are really helping:D

Killler.....no replys cuz it's an off hour. I bet we're the only two people writing in this forum right now. As for why the expensive gun? IMO a tricked Spyder will perform just as well as a Matrix, only it's a lot simpler. I own a Spyder. I love it primarily because of its simplicity. There's no timing, electronics, 3 way, or anything else. Just a plain and simple paintgun, but it's a Shutter so it looks cool. IMO, a Shutter with a Hyperframe will cost you about $400 maybe a nice barrel for $40-$70....and some HPA for around $150. You're looking now at a gun that costs $650 and performs with any other electro. Shoots just as fast, just as accurate, and yet infinitly simpler than a cocker or Matrix. But the Matrix is still a very nice gun, and probably will have a little less kick than a Spyder, which is what you're going to be paying the extra $200 for. My personal preference is tricked Spyder. That's what I'm going for. At least as a newbie you're not starting with BE.

Ok guys I just got back from the local paintbal shop. The guy totally fuk--ed my mind. What he said made sense.
He told me to buy an auto cocker from WGP. He said the impluse is great but hard to maintain and the trigger is sweet but I would never be able to go back to any other gun. THe high end has so little pull. So with that said I am going to buy a cocker but the model he wants me to buy has a side feed not verticle. I am right handle I think the hopper will block my view. IS the WGP autococker a good gun. $560 with a 68 cc tank. Life time tech support etc.. It seemed to be a better idea, but that impule looks so good.

IMO, I'd take the Impulse. I figure if you can handle a cocker's mechanics, an electro shouldn't be too much harder. He wants you to buy the cocker cuz it's more expensive I bet. The Impulse is basically an electro-blowback half breed. Can't be too complicated. Runs LP and on CO2. For the $529 price you could probably get an Impulse Turbo. Besides, I see cocker problems a lot more than Impulse ones. If you have your heart set on a higher end marker, I'd say the Impy is your ticket. I am gonna electrify my Shutter and it'll perform on about the same level.
