I was looking at the revews for both the Lapco Bigshot and J+J Ceramic barrels 12". They basically say the Big Shot is a little loud and the Ceramic is not at accurate, very conflicting stories though. :( I would like to know which one is better. Also which kind of paint would be best, specifically. Thanx

Use Marb's with the JnJ. and they will fly really straight, problem is Marb.'s never break, so you'll just be hitting people not getting them out.
I'd say get the lapco bigshot -and get some
Diablo Blaze
PowerBall
RPS Bigball or Premium :) :) :)

Lapco is louder.
Some think by a ton. I don't think by very much.
Why do you need to be so quiet?

the lapco has better aestetic value, it looks a lot nicer and more powerful than the ceramic.
it is raved to be one of the most accurate barrels, it is affordable, and is short for speedball.
if you use the right paint, i am sure the accuracy is off the "hook" with this barrel. never really inquired about the ceramic, the actual look of the damn thing steers me away.

How is a barrel more powerful than another barrel. I never knew that barrels make balls fly with "More Power".

I am VERY pleased to see the good folks here are smart enough to know how excellent Lapco barrels are! I figured the volume of jj ceramic owners would vote for there barrel, lapcos seem to be uncommon but they are like the best barrel ever made! Im happy.

-louder than most barrels(cmon u must all agree)
-very efficient
-very accurate
jj cermic
-self cleaning
-fairly quiet
-fairly efficient
-im unsure about accuracy(???)

Its as loud as my stock piranha barrel and as loud as my 10 inch boomy, the JJ doesnt really clean itself any better then any other barrel, its not TOO quiet the jj and its not very efficient, prolly as efficient as a boomy, both prolly have near the same effective length, that is, about 6 or 7 inches, while the lapco is 10 or so, it being one of the only barrels with that long of an effective length makes it one of the most efficient barrels ever, high quality, decent looks, not tooooo noisy, i consider it, pimp daddy.

i just got a lapco bigshot and i wsnt that impressed but still was. It seemed to be less acurate and the paintballs fell short. i just changed from a 14 inch true flight to the lapco. I was useing diablo dusk paintballs. I was wondering if its my velocity or is it the paintballs.

When you switch barrels all the velocity settings on your gun change, the diablo paintballs are probably rather small for the bigshot barrel, probably causing lower velocity then you got on your tru flight. Adjust your velocity, make sure your paint fits well <or just adjust velocity> and it should work well.
