Criket board type?

Getting a blue impulse and i do not want vison. I am ordering it off of skanline and the choices are vison, no vison, or cricket board type. What do i get? I dont want the vison cuz iam getting the was bored

then get the cricket cuz the WAS has a better vision system than the SP vision, and you dont waste any money that way

Im new to impulses, but im pretty sure that you either get a cricket board, or a SP vision board (if specified), but if ur gonna upgrade to the WAS (wich im also doin by the way, once i get my impy) definatly get the cricket because fristly its cheaper and whats the sense of wasting money on a board that your not gonna use, and secondly the SP vision eyes are not compatable with the WAS board.

okay, toothpastedog to the rescue, there are older type of boards that smart parts doesn't make anymore that you cannot buy no matter what type of impulse you get. skanline will only have impulses with either a blue light (also nicknamed cricket board, because it chirps) vision or non-vision board. if it doesn't say vision, if probably doesn't have it. the price will tell you. is it 400-500$ stock, then no vision. if it's 500-600$ stock, then vision. does that answer your question?

if you get a cricket but cant afford a was board then get it programed for ECS.
